First off having live music to set a calm and relaxing mood is perfect. Had the hot and sour soup which was more sour than spicy. I enjoy spicy but it was a nice contrast to what I am used to and by sour it wasn't eat a lemon sour but could tell there was a little citrus in there. The General Tso chicken was lightly breaded so it didn't slow me down after eating it but I like spicy and when I visit again I'll make sure to see if they can turn up the heat. The mapo tofu was soft and to my surprise was offered in a beef sauce, highly recommend. The fried rice was balanced so not too much soy or too little. Overall very enjoyable experience.
I asked the waiter for a recommendation being my first time there, he steered me toward their spicy noodles cooked in oil with pork. They were so good and flavors I had never tried. I also got the dumplings in chili oil and those were great too. So many authentic dishes to try I will definitely be back.
The food was amazing and the service was great. You have to try the Dongpo pig knuckle, it melts in your mouth and the flavor is outstanding! Thank you Lee for great service!!
Most amazing and authentic Chinese in Tempe/Mesa for sure. Spicy and sour fish, cabbage, green beans, cauliflower and beef in spicy oil absolute must tries. Worth all the wait. Portions are huge and meant for sharing. You can still order American “Chinese” dishes, but why?We go here at least once a month for comfort and delicious food of superb quality.

My brother saw this restaurant on PBS and we were all excited to go! We made a reservation for 12 because this was a birthday dinner for my brother. When we walked in there were old food boxes and the remnants of a dusty salad bar that greeted us (this should have been our first clue to leave) We were sat at a large round table and given one dirty sticky laminated menu. After about 15 minutes one server came to us to order. We asked if the had a drink menu and she said "NO" Do you have wine we asked "NO, beer only". So those who drank beer ordered. Again, after a long wait the server came back and started to take our order. The restaurant was busy but not packed. We started to get our appetizers that were OVER fried a dry. We were all very hungry and ate it anyway. Our server disappeared again for what seemed to be 20 minutes. The food started coming out but after sporadic serving, my brother and his wife never got there food. My bother cancelled their order after we were all done and asked to speak with the manager but they never came to our table. My wife went to the server and asked for our checks but after 15-20 minutes we all said, let's get out of here. We all left, what amounted to over $140 dollars, cash and walked out. This is one of the worst experiences I had a a restaurant in recent year and in my opinion, PBS restaurant seekers is crap!
Not much atmosphere here but the food we ordered was excellent. My wife and I were there late, the last before the staff ate their lunch.
We went on a Saturday night and not only enjoyed good food but also those lovely music from a Guzheng player! The dishes were baked and tasty and they have vegetarian options as well. We had a tofu dish in Shaanxi sauce that was especially good
Fantastic food. I didn't know what expect when I ordered the bean jelly with spicy pork, but it was one of the tastiest dishes I've had in a while. My wife's pork on garlic sauce was amazing, too. Prompt friendly service makes for a quick, filling, and absolutely delicious lunch.
Great food, excellent customer service. We shall return
