I rarely give a bad review because I know it's hard to be perfect all the time. I believe if you try and give me a good effort and things just don't click I won't hold it against you. However, my experience at this sauce place was unique. To be fair I entered this place 10 minutes before closing time on a Friday night. The young kid that took my order was very nice and tried his best. However as I was ordering I noticed the manager or owner peering over at my family and I. We had difficulty deciding and also hearing what was available and again, this was probably my fault as much as the cashier's. Well, as I look up expecting to smile and say hi to the manager I get this stare down from him. This is a guy thing where you look at another guy and usually say hi or something...but to my surprise I get this very aggressive stare down action. Now here I am coming to your business bringing my money with my wife and little girl after an extremely long day and I'm in a stare down with the owner/manager because I want to give him my money for some pizza??? I couldn't believe it. So, in a split second I decide to head straight out the door. I will never consider sauce again as a possibility. Maybe the guy had some personal issues going on because I didn't do or say anything to him. It was just a nonverbal look and vibe he gave me that I interpreted as hyper aggressive and angry I decided to eat there. My wife asked me what was going on as we walked out but my daughter who is only 11 knew exactly what I was talking about because she felt it too. So I'm not out to ruin anyone business. We all have bad days and things that really hurt. But please try to be friendly and welcoming to others as they choose your place to eat. Again the kids working there were top notch and friendly. Maybe they should be the ones running the place as well and not scaring off future costumers with the stone fold Steve Austin stare down....and that's the bottom line ...
We ordered our at work last week and I had lasagna. It was so good! So today I ordered again for lunch for three of us. I got lasagna and my husband and daughter got mac and cheese with chicken (supposedly) the Mac and cheese was so dry my husband had to make cheese sauce so he could choke it down and there was some chicken sprinkled in if that's what you want to call it. However, this isn't even the worst! I got to the end of my lasagna and found PLASTIC! Lord knows how much I ate. Gross.
Great pizzas, paninis and salads are great as well... Fresh not dry or overcooked..great atmosphere and the Server/Host Jordan is great... always helpful and explains the menu in case your undecided... Always enjoy coming here... especially when they have $3.00 glass of wine...
Sauce thin crust pepperoni pizza is the best pizza in Gilbert hands down! It’s the perfect ratio sauce, cheese and meat to crust. It’s even my 5 year olds favorite pizza and she is a pizza connoisseur so that’s saying a lot ?
Now, I did visit during National Pie day (3.14) BUT, the staff could have told me and the other 10 people standing in line that there was a 1 hour wait if you are ordering pizza. The line was a second priority to the online orders. Which seems to be a new trend. In the past, the 3.14 pizza special was for dine-in only, now its for online as well. Now I know for next year.
Delicious place to have a salad, pizza, or sandwich. My sister and I split a salad and a pizza. There was plenty left over. The salad that had Brussel sprouts was delicious! We had artichokes and mushrooms on the pizza- heaven!
I made a mistake and ordered a gf pizza with vegan cheese. I told my son and he said mom I dont like vegan cheese. I called and asked the staff if they could just scrape off the vegan cheese and add regular cheese. They made a whole new pizza for him amd I offered to pay and they wouldn’t take payment. You all are great!!!! Of course I’ll be back!!!
My wife and I enjoy the pizzas and Mac and cheese from here. Service is usually fast, and the food is always hot and delicious. No complaints.
If you like thin crust cracker like pizza this is the place for you. I was kinda disappointed to find out the desserts are not made in store. The staff is friendly and kind and a good wine selection if you choose to dine in.
I had a gift card so I called for take out. The service was good and the workers were polite. I give it 3 stars kuz I did not favor my meal. I ordered a cesar salad which was ok the croutons tasted stale but the lettuce was fresh and the dressing was good and the cheese was good. I also ordered the mac and cheese which wasn't too tasty in my book. And the noodles with red sauce didn't impress me either. Last I ordered a cheese and basil pizza, good cheese and ok crust but the sauce was not that great, kinda chefbpyaredee-ish. Oh yeah they had good lemonade ? though. I'd say this place just isn't my kind of Italian food.
