This place is amazing! I just moved to Avondale from Austin Texas. And I was worried I would not be able to find a great Korean fried chicken place. And omg this place is so amazing! So worth the drive and the owner is a total sweet heart! I highly recommend !
This is the best fried chicken I've ever had and it's way better than the fried chicken inside of H-mart. Once the chicken enters your mouth, you can really taste the juiciness and it just pops with flavor. I really enjoy the garlic and regular fried chicken because they are my favorite flavors and it just speaks to you.
I really like getting chicken wings from here, but I'm disappointed they stopped selling the rice porridge..???
Delicious KFC with tasty sauces!! The chicken was very crispy, well cooked, tender. Good diversity of sauces, and the spicy sauces actually have a good level of heat! We also really enjoyed the mandu dumplings. The shrimp, pork, and kimchi dumplings were hand made in-house. Thin, tender wrappers and plentiful, tasty fillings made these dumplings a treat! The rice cake (tteokbokki) stir fry was delicious as well! The spicy sauce was truly spicy! Excellent service and food, we plan on coming back again!
Absolutely incredible Korean friend chicken restaurant in a unassuming location. The menu is simple but every dish is fresh made to order including the shrimp dumplings. Order some soju, some fried chicken and enjoy.
The chicken is great, but they changed a lot. No more porridge and not even rice?? ????? its freezing outside....some porridge would be amazing.
I’ve been searching for the fried chicken I love and crave from Korea, in Arizona, and I finally found it! Po Chicken’s Korean fried chicken is SO on point and hands down the best in AZ!The sweet & spicy is my favorite but, when in doubt, try the Combo A (half sweet & spicy, half crispy fried)!
Sweet and spicy chicken is the best! Almost like the real thing in Korea
I have been to Po Chicken quite a few times. My goal is to eat everything on the menu. Their porridge is very delicious and filling without making you feel bloated. I have yet to try the chicken, but it's in the works! The service is lovely, the staff being attentive to your needs without being overbearing. They are friendly without being fake. They are a business that does not allow outside food or drink. That's absolutely understandable. The fact someone had the audacity to think they would allow their neighbour's customers to come in and utilise their seating because they "were going to buy chicken" is truly astounding.Anyway, please give Po Chicken a try, it's a pleasant, all around experience. Try to remember that the staff are people, too, so be kind to them! Follow the Golden Rule.
It was a shame that I couldn't sample nor review this place today. It's located beside a Korean hot dog place, and said neighbor has no indoor seating to eat, and makes you wait outside (Seoul Two Hands corn dogs). So, I went into Po and picked out something on their chickent menu. I was about to order and saw a sign that said 'No outside food or drink', That is certainly commonplace in many restaurants. However, I asked the young lady at the cash box, "Will I be able to eat my dogs here, also?" Her answer was 'No', it was not permitted. So, I went back outside to wait on the corn dogs.Several mins later, I saw an older man entering the Po with his cook's uniform on. I asked it if was his venue, and he affirmed it. I asked if it was true that I couldn't eat the the other food, while at the same time making a purchase from his own menu. Once more, he affirmed that he doesn't allow it. I told him that was a poor customer service policy, and he smiled and seemed quite unphased, LOL.Oh well.....there's plenty of cordial restaurants to patronize. Good luck.
