I ordered take out. It was ready on time, tasted great, and the bag came with everything I requested. There’s not any convenient parking for pickup orders and the exchange was a bit awkward inside, but promptly made and tastes good.
Been awhile since I've eaten at a pita jungle. We went on a Saturday at 11. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server Sarah was smiling and eager to recommend some different choices. My wife and I started with a small order of hummus and pita bread. The hummus was tasty and a little on the soupy side. The pita wash soft upon delivery but got a little chewy as it cooled. We ate it all! Wife had the gyros. Meaty, moist and tender. With a good balance of veggies. My chicken combo platter was very good as well. A generous amount of chicken mixed with rice, beans, pickles. The flavored tea was refreshing. Very good! Well done Sarah.
We are from Pittsburgh and came for dinner by a recommendation from our friends. We like Greek food and were excited to see what this place was about. I liked that they offered a lot of options and didn't have a menu that was limited due to covid. The menu was big, with a bunch of different types of foods to choose from. They offered indoor and outdoor seating and we didn't have a wait even for a table of 6. The atmosphere was nice and the service was also good. I didn't particularly like what I chose but it wasn't terrible. I ordered the Salmon and switched out my sides for vegetables and Greek potatoes. The potatoes were very dry and not what I expected so I asked to switch them to the garlic mashed which the waitress did without a problem and she was very nice about it. I liked the garlic mashed much better. My boyfriend ordered a shwarma wrap and it was delicious. Would say this would be a place to try if you come to this area. Portions were appropriate for the prices as well which is something I consider when reviewing a restaurant.
Update* - the food is great and the staff is amazing. This is one of the busiest locations so just be patient and order ahead of time. Thanks Pita Jungle crew!
Visited Pita Jungle. The earlier the better. Less foot traffic and environment was pleasant. Pics below are Grilled Chicken Salad, Chicken Pasta Salad and Chicken Tikka Masala. Service is great!
Despite a long-ish 25 wait that turned into 30-35 minutes on a Friday at noon, the food was DELICIOUS. Had to wait a while on the order as well…
I've Loved pita jungle ever since the first one went up. Food is still decent but it's not as good as it used to be. One of my favorite things to get there was chicken hummus and it had pine nuts on it now they put beans on it. Makes the whole flavor profile different. There's a lot of little changes plus the amount of things you get. I'm not going to completely avoid them , but I'm not going to go out of my way. The service was phenomenal. This was a special occasion and I was disappointed food versus money.
I just had the weirdest experience. I met a friend for dinner at this Pita Jungle. I ordered the nachos with no beans and extra cheese and a side of vegetables. The "nachos" came out as a plate full of chips with some weird sauce on them (not how they are normally made). I called the waitress over and she confirmed they didn't look right. She talked to the kitchen who said the chips might burn because the beans aren't on them. I said "I'll take my chances." I reminded her "no beans, extra cheese." They came out more normal but definitely without extra cheese. The waitress recognized this and took them back again. Then I witnessed her have a conversation with about 5 people in the kitchen. The one I assume was the cook appeared to angrily talk to her while making a crossing motion with his arms in universal "no way" gesture. This went on for a few minutes. The waitress brought the plate back and told me the cook said he had layered the cheese in the chips. So I looked... and there was no layered cheese. She told me that they were willing to melt some cheese separately and send it out to me... I politely asked her to just cancel the order and take it off my bill. The waitress was extremely gracious, apologized and said "I don't know why that was so hard." I gave 2 stars because the waitress was fantastic and I've had good experiences in the past. But the rude lazy cook kind of ruined it...Edit: Updated from 2 stars to 4 stars because the owner reached out and plans on addressing what occurred. I appreciate them making it right!
Very pleasant indoors or outdoors! Very attentive staff! Bartender makes great cocktails and also a huge wine list! Beautiful oven for pizzas too! Cozy and romantic atmosphere!
Their garlic dip is so incredible! I’m just sad you get a smaller portion for a slightly higher price now ?Especially if you order to-go.Great food though, fun atmosphere.
