Lots of selections. Huge portions. Food was delicious. Got the mixta , very tasty!!! Great cocktails. Make the trip you won't be disappointed
It's been almost 5 years since I visited this Moreno's Mexican Restaurant. Now that I moved back to the valley it was time to try this restaurant again. He ordered the Moreno Burrito, the Sonoran Hot Dog and the Carne Asada Sope.Sonoran dog wasn't as good as the Sope. The Moreno burrito had a flavor all its own.If you are a lightweight with spicy food, you need to make sure you ask for mild sauce instead of the regular sauce they use.I have to get two thumbs up for their salsa verde sauce. The flavor made a huge difference in our meal. Unfortunately the guacamole wasn't authentically made. It was pureed. The overall experience at this establishment is deserving of another visit.
Great food! Wonderful staff. Fish tacos were amazing and everything was fresh.
So disappointed. This place always smells amazing when we drive by so we finally decided to try it and placed a to go order... sadly, it was awful. The carne asada was beyond over cooked and tasted like worn shoe leather. The red sauce was the worst, had a chemical taste. We don't normally waste food but this was inedible and went in the trash. The refried beans had no flavor whatsoever. Would give it a 1 but the rice was ok, not much flavor but soft and the cheese enchilada was ok. I was really hoping this place would be amazing but based on carne asada alone, we will not return.
We have only been twice both times it was not busy at all our first time our waiter was the bartender and hardly checked on us when we finally ordered and got our food he gave me someone else order and since he never check on us but maybe once I was able to get another server or busser to take it back. She said that’s where it went so our server did not pay attention and didn’t even notice his error. Our second visit was again another bartender a different one and was very rude the server that seated us was very nice but the bartender we didn’t even get greeted for about 10 mins and since this was our second time we did know that the tacos come out as soft and not crispy unless we specify (that should be something the server asks). So when we got them and said oh we are sorry we wanted crispy. Server said you didn’t say crispy so that what you that’s was what you ordered. Again we said sorry we didn’t know and he said said if I take it back it he has to remake it. He didn’t want to be inconvenienced is what it came out as and was very rude about it. When we got the correct tacos they where broken up and sloppy put together and was missing the side items. It was very disappointing because the food was good but the service was rude and unfriendly that we won’t be going back.
Four of us went on a busy night without reservations. The bartender was gracious enough to assist with taking orders and waiting on tables. We very much appreciated the attentiveness and service and the food was delicious. The margaritas are the best we’ve had in the Mesa area. Would highly recommend this small authentic Mexican restaurant.
Food is very good. Service is great. We've know the owner for years and it's so good to see him expand and bring fabulous food to our side of town. We go every week now, I would totally recommend this place.
My wife along with my family have been a customer for years! Tonight i was so disappointed with my food and mostly the extra charge for everything! Tonight I ordered a Chicken Chimichanga and asked for some enchilada sauce on it $2.80 extra! Then my wife asked for some more chips another charge! I hate to say but i think we are done with Moranos mexican food!
Bomb.com!!! Everything was fresh and amazing!!! Service was seriously good especially considering how busy they were, great job and food guys, we will be returning as often as possible haha!!!
My husband and I were there Saturday night, 3/12/22. Jorge was our server and we left him an 18% tip. When the charge cleared our bank, the tip had been changed to 20%. We would not recommend this FRAUDULENT restaurant.
