i went with a total of 8 people and 2 babies we told our waiter that 3 people were going to have a bill and another 3 for another bill and 4 for another one, so each family pays what they eat. everything was fine until we got our bill and saw that tip was already included, for my bill the tip was $13, for the other bill it was almost $17 for the tip and for the last bill it was $10 and we asked why the tip was already included, our waiter said if it’s more then 6 people the tip is already included in the bill but only 3 people ate on my bill so where’s the 6 people ? and same for the others , but she said per table , but it doesn’t say that on the bill , it would be nice if they had a sign somewhere that said that before we eat , our waiter said the tip is obligated but it is not . tip is IF they do a good job and is a GOOD service which we did not receive, to order our drinks took forever AND to have our food come out took forever as well, plus the food is so expensive and not really that good. it is not a law that we MUST tip it’s if YOU want too . we had to keep asking for refills and so much more because she hardly came to check on us . and when explaining about the tip and how it works everyone working there caught an attitude and was rude about it . never coming back again
I went there for Valentine's Day, and the service including the food was outstanding. Something I have never experienced before in any restaurant in any part of the world, was an upcharge of $10 per shot of tequila for the four margaritas... So the margarita cost $9 plus $10 for each one. Normal bar practice and restaurant is to charge you the difference between the cost of the house tequila and your call tequila, not an additional full price of the tequila since I wasn't asking to have it added I asked to have a specific tequila in lieu of the house tequila. I tried to explain it and it fell on deaf ears. What should have been right around $105 for an incredible meal, ended up being 144.00 before tip. I tipped $30 anyway and I hope that the owner gets wind of this to understand this is not common practice, and that when someone orders a call tequila in a margarita you only charge them the difference not an entire price of the new tequila on top of the total price for the margarita. I still recommend going back there because the food and service is outstanding.
Every time the fam dines here we love it more and more. Delicious mariscos and traditional Mexican food. Great, friendly service. Ostiones preparados, a Jarrito. Best combo ever.
Terrible customer service and food. First of, they will charge you a different price then what actually on their menu. Second, the food takes forever to come out, our appetizers arrived to our table at the same time our entrees did. The staff is rude especially a tall guy that walks around yelling at the servers. Never going back.
The food was good, but they didn't really come to our table to check on us while we ate. My husband had to get up to ask for another soda and then again later on for the check.
Been coming to Mariscos el Rey for years. First time back since the remodel and it is GORGEOUS. Food has not changed, still as delicious as ever, now just an elevated look. Prices are still fantastic. 10/10 recommend this place to everyone I know. Ceviche tostada is ????
BEST TACOS I'VE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! MY HUSBAND AND I WENT HERE FOR MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY AND THEY DID NOTT DISAPPOINT! I LOVE THIS PLACE! WE RECOMMEND THE MANTA STINGRAY AND THE MARLIN TACOS!!!!!!! RICE AND BEANS WERE BANGING YOOOOOOOO!!! ALL LOVE THERE! YOU CAN SURELY TELL!
Very Authentic Food. Went here on a Friday night and there was live music. Very clean and above average dining area. Inside was very artsy and real felt comfortable. If you want Mexican food you can't go wrong here.
The service. The hospitality. The food. Omg worth every penny honestly one of my favorite restaurants!!! DELICIOUS!!!!!
The food was good however it's marked up way to much. It taste no different than other Marisco restaurant's in the area. The service was neither good or bad. The food is good but overpriced. I give it 4 stars. I probably won't return because I can get the same dish elsewhere for much less and taste the exact same.
