Great prices and variety. I have eaten at several sushi places in several states and this one is at the top. Service was good and so were the non alcoholic drinks!
I recently moved back to the US after living in Japan for a few years. This is the best sushi I’ve found in Mesa/Phoenix so far. It’s still a lot of American style rolls, but the flavors are so nicely paired and the rolls aren’t over sauced or too sweet. The fish itself always seems to be quality and tastes good (never fishy). The ambiance is always on point - their decor is beautiful and fun and the music selections are always great. And of course, service is always 10/10.

Best sushi I’ve had in Mesa so far. Got Togo but it was nice and fresh when we arrived. Best part was the service. When I called he prewarned me about the wait and when I asked him to call me when it was ready he remembered to call me with enough time to get there as well. Very impressed
Stopped in for lunch, recommended by family friends. Sushi was good, all sauces are made in house. Family owned and run business, only knock is cans of soda for drinks, not fountain. Have to try the What the Heck Roll, pretty good.
House- Modern Sushi was a nice find and close to work. The restaurant is small with a nice seating area. The staff was very friendly. I got the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Chicken Teriyaki. Both were nicely prepared, fresh and great taste.

This is literally the best sushi place I've been to. I've been here countless times and I've introduced multiple friends and family and everyone loves this spot. I go mainly for the sushi and I recommend the "what the heck roll" and the shrimp and salmon roll. And the family that owns the place are simply the nicest people.
