I have seen friends post about this place. Finally today my mom and I were having lunch nearby so I asked if I paid did she want to try. BEST DECISION WE MADE TODAY. We will be back so many choices that we must try. Place was clean guy behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly. Great addition to the neighborhood.
The ice cream is wonderful! They gave me a free sample and I fell in love, I had the vanilla bean flavor in a Piccolo cup. The person working behind the counter was great too! Their name was Jason and they were really nice. Would 100% recommend!
We love this gelato shop. We think I they make the best tasting gelato in the area. We go here all the time. Today we got to talk to the owner for a bit, and he was very friendly and helpful. He had us taste his new pistachio gelato, which used locally sourced pistachios, which he roasted and ground himself to make the gelato. I would say it was my favorite so far, but I have too many favorites at Heaven on a Spoon. Love it! Edit: I forgot to say there are some delicious allergy friendly flavors that are just as good as everything else. We can buy flavors for our the milk and egg allergic friends.
Phenomenal! This place is a hidden gem, as Gerardo (owner) — who apparently learned his Gelato-making trade in Italy — makes truly peerless gelato. I unfortunately live out of state, so my only regret is that I cannot frequent this establishment more often. Don’t bother with any other gelato or ice cream shop — you owe it to yourself.
I'm going to bed early due to my dessert coma. We got the family style nachos and an orange soda drink. I can't remember what it's called. Owner is super pleasant let's you try all the flavors. Good pricing on the menu and amaaaaaazing gelato. Eeeiiiiii so good ??
Just ate here tonight and had the Nachos Familia Style. I liked this place almost as much as Handel's and its very hard to top them. This was absolutely amazing. The 3 flavors we tried, coconut, Oreo, and the peanut butter chocolate. They were all amazing. The owner was solo and I overheard him telling other people he had a new employee first day didn't show up. But everybody was patient and happy, and the owner was in great spirits. My wife noticed a few things in the kitchen that she said was not ideal (she's a sous chef) but nothing to be very alarmed about. Hands down, you won't find a better desert Gelato place anywhere around this place. We like the place on Higley and Brown, but this place beats it in every way. Honestly, it is probably one of the best dessert places in Phoenix Metro.
We were looking for an icecream shop with our family while visiting and stumbled onto Heaven on a Spoon. The place looked a little sketchy so we almost passed it up, but I am so glad we didn't! My husband is from Argentina and this is the best gelato we have had since moving here. Sooooo good! The Dulce de Leche is exactly the same. My favorite it mixed fruit and Marscarpone. I wish we could pack this place up and take it with us.
I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. My husband usually likes to go to Frozen Yogurt but tonight I convinced him to try Gelato. He is now hooked just like me. The young man who served us was friendly and personable. He also was able to answer our questions and offer suggestions. We tried a couple of samples first and then chose two "Mezzo" (sizes) with two Gelato flavors each. All flavors were delicious especially the Chocolate Hazelnut with strips of chocolate in the Gelato. We signed up for the Rewards program and are looking forward to our next visit.

The business's name is true for sure. I am in absolute heaven. I eat a lot of pistachio ice cream or gelato and their pistachio gelato is top notch. Their sugar free raspberry gelato was a delight. I will be coming back many times.
