Hubby and I had heard of this restaurant a few years ago and we were looking for a place without a huge line on a Sunday mid-morning so we headed here. Under newer ownership, when we walked in, the customers let us know that the drinks were self serve, the menu was on the dry erase board and to grab a pad of paper, write down the order and to take it into the kitchen. After a moment of - huh? We did as we were told. The server popped out and said hello and to help ourselves to the drinks. This is a 2 person show so do not expect quick service. The food was ok but won’t likely be back due to the lack of structure surrounding customers walking in and out of the kitchen.

I will say my wife and I had a decent experience here. The food was awesome, I ordered the 3 meat omelette & was surprised it was stuffed. My only complaint was I was a bit confused on where things were but that’s nothing to be upset about. Friendly nice experience.

Lovely owners. Made me feel like I was in a real Grandma's house. But it was a bit weird to open up a drawer to look at the menu which was just paper stapled together. They definitely need a little bit of help with the kitchen and maybe a couple of waiters. And could use a little bit of spice in their food. Sadly the breakfast burrito that I had was kind of lackluster. And the gravy that came with it was very thick with very little flavor. With just a little extra help I could see this place being really great. I would also suggest that they lower their prices on their food. Seemed a bit pricey for what I got.*Edit*It's sad to see that instead of addressing the issues at hand I have been issued a challenge by the "Executive Chef". Considering my opinion as someone half your age doesn't seem to matter.

I love the atmosphere! The music is loud enough to hear, but you can actually talk to your table. The food is fantastic! It takes a while to come out, but it is made to order. The waitress/owner is very sweet!Thank you again for breakfast!

There is endless commentary here! It is rare that I find a place I can call 'home'. Finally a 'tearoom' similar to the ones I grew up in. Finally a licensed chef who knows how to make an omlette, with fresh spinach, mushrooms, bacon and cheese. Wow! Do you know how hard this is to find in this 'Valley of Little Culture'? I have found my new 'place'. ❤

Hello, my name is Carson and I am 10 years old and I went here had the best food I’ve ever had I was there with my Great grandma, Grandma, Sister and brother. You should try the potatoes those are the best. The potatoes are like if you die and go to heaven and then come back down and go to heaven again. Everything here is delicious. My sister says that you should try the French toast. Thanks to the owners too!

Very homey and personable place with no frills, basic good eats. Quaint drawers for menus and extras at every table for customer convenience.

Long wait times for food that was not great! The eggs were cold, the potatoes were raw and flavorless, overpriced for the quality of the food. They have a dog running around which is definitely not sanitary. First and last time eating here, please don’t waste your money. Orange juice glass was dirty. Denny’s is way better than this place and cheaper.

If you live in or visit this area, G.K. is a must go! We had the most delightful experience yesterday 10/29/21. Our first time in - me and my husband, our son and his wife. First - the food - top notch in every way! Ingredients, prep and plating all first class. The coffee comes in its own cute little coffee pot. The “infused water” of the day was served in a pitcher with lots of fresh fruit - it was incredible.I had a quesadilla with lots of fresh veggies, my husband and daughter in law had the French Toast which was amazing (I had to taste it!) My son had an omelette which was also loaded with fresh veggies. Now here is something you should know - this is a husband/wife team who are busting their behinds to stay open and are barely hanging on. Its just the 2 of them so your meal will take a long time. But sooooo worth it! You will need to wear your mask, they are immunocompromised. The upside is the place in spotless. So please - support this place, their work ethic, and their food. Give yourself plenty of time, wear your mask and go enjoy this gem of a spot in Mesa!!!

The food is amazing, the covid craziness is borderline insanity. Plastic every where and charges $1 for a mask so you can walk 4 ft and take it off, no common sense and as good as the food is, it was such an extreme I felt like I was feeding into their delusion by wearing one. (And im not anti mask, just anti no common sense and pro customercourtesy) would give 5 star for amazing food ;)
