I went here to order take out but, soon after arriving, I decided to sit down with my two year old granddaughter inside this cozy restaurant . We had the Wor Wongton soup, fried crab puffs and their house tea. The shrimp was of good size and my soup was so yummy. The waitress was very friendly and professional. Customers were arriving steadily- proving to me that their food was superb. I can’t wait to return with all my family & friends. My first time here and it shall not be my last. If a two year old enjoyed the food, then you know it has to be good! ♥️
Very nice atmosphere and the food is very good. Well worth the price. Customer service was very good and they always made sure that our drinks were full and we were okay.
The food here was just not very good. I am normally a huge fan of Chinese food but was really disappointed. I moved to this side of town from West Phoenix and was excited to try this restaurant with all the great reviews. The employees were very friendly and I wanted to like this place so bad! The beef broccoli almost seemed premade and frozen. It was watery and flavorless except for an overpowering mushroom taste. There were more mushrooms than beef or broccoli. The portion was also small for 14$. I am willing to pay for good Chinese food but this is unfortunately not it. Not sure if I just came on an off day but I will be trying other Chinese places in the area.
Came here for the first time on a Sunday as people I knew recommended this restaurant. Nice place. Just not one for sitting in a booth, and they had limited table space. The lighting was a bit darker than I’d like. Hard to see as you enter from the bright sunlight outside. To start I ordered the egg roll - very good; sweet sour sauce was ok - and the crab angels - where’s the crabmeat? They should rename these “hot lava balls of cream cheese.” They were crunchy, good, but little or no crabmeat. The main entree I had ordered wasn’t on the menu; yet they had accommodated by making sesame shrimp. The rice was just right. But as for the shrimp? They’re not shrimp fried in tempura batter, but chopped up shrimp made like fritters. Judge for yourself in the photos. The sauce was peculiar; and the only vegetables were chopped onions. No carrots, no water chestnuts, no broccoli, no celery, no beans, nothing. The check was reasonable $$. And service was fine. I don’t know if I’ll return. I wasn’t impressed.
We think this is the best Hot & Sour Soup in town. All entries are great too but we go back to the Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce, Three Kings Chicken, Seafood Delight, Hunan or Mongolian Beef and Snow White Chicken most often. Service is also great. We've eaten here a 100 times and have never been disappointed.
First time going to Golden Gate last night and it was great! This isn’t your Asian-fusion, pretentious Chinese restaurant. It’s an old school Chinese restaurant with an old school decor. Extremely friendly service from the entire staff. I was shocked by how plentiful the portions were. Will definitely be coming back!
I love this little place. It's tucked away in the corner. It's a cozy environment with delicious food. You can't beat the customer service here. They seat you quickly, take your order and Boom, food is out on your table in no time. The staff are just as friendly, too.
Food is OK, nothing standout compared to other Chinese establishments. Place is very old and could use a refresh with the interior decor. It does not seem to be cleaned super often either.
Awesome prices and food a super idea for lunch. This was all for one price.
Definitely coming here again, waitress was so kind and catered to ALL needs and then some. Food was bomb and surprisingly extremely good. My whole family loved it. Only thing I would suggest is a furniture upgrade. Definitely 5/5
