Although all I wanted was a utensil, the cashier lady said no, since I didn’t order food from their particular vendor. Knowing they have forks or chopsticks since they sell entrees requiring one such as pork belly, she rejected a kind gesture of kindness and humanity of providing me with a utensil leaving me to savagely eat my food with my hands as a barbarian would.
I've been slowly trying different items on their menu and my favorite is definitely their Kimchi Pork Belly. Their salmon is also pretty tasty and they give you two fillers for it! Will admit, it's a little pricey, but honestly every restaurant in H Mart is, but I always leave satisfied, with enough food for lunch the next day.Plus, I feel like service is super quick even on their busiest days at their busiest hours (a la weekend lunch rush!)
I have been here many times because number 3 (stir fried pork belly with kimchi) is a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, I won't come here anymore. The last 4 times I have been here the food is swimming in pure oil. I asked them to reduce the oil so I got half the oil today which is still a crazy amount. The pics show how absurd the oil content is.
Ordered kimchi stew and was charged for a more expensive dish (spicy beef soup). Saw it after receiving the receipt. Didn’t want to go through the inconvenience of changing the order and refunding a dollar, so I accepted the dish I was charged for. I should have changed it because the spicy beef soup had NO flavor. It was so plain and had nothing but old chewy shredded beef, lots of old bean sprouts and some egg. It was so bad that I couldn’t eat it. Took almost all of it home for my dog. On my way home I was thinking that maybe not even my dog would eat it, but it turns out he liked it. I feel like this soup is dog food and doesn’t belong on a menu in a restaurant. What a waste of $10?!!
Ordered the Kimchi stew and it was absolutely tasty! In the kimchi stew, there’s little pieces of pork belly and good amount of kimchi! Each order came with 3 side dishes (kimchi, zucchini and potato) and a side of rice! Perfect meal to share or enjoy by your self! It’s a good portion so I took the rest home for later! I would definitely recommend Food Garden!

Located inside H-mart. Really good authentic Korean food, but a little pricey than the ones we are used to in Dallas. We had pork belly with rice combo, spicy squid combo and tofu soup.. Hansik Madang.
Food is good. Friendly staff.
