Excellent place for drinks with friends. The drink menu is amazing. The Manzanilla Tea, El Pirita Chingon, and Los Caidos were beyond tasty. The food menu is a bit limited but the items we ordered (dry aged beef hamburger & grilled cheese) were delicious! The potatoes with each sandwich were brilliant and and so good. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekends, but know that the experience will be well worth it.
The prices are very reasonable especially given this economy (July 2022). Excellent atmosphere, friendly service, solid cocktails. Downtown Mesa has needed some more destinations and this absolutely fits the bill. This is another concept from Rene Andrade (Bacanora in Downtown Phoenix) and while I can't say the food quite reached that level (Bacanora is 6* good) it's absolutely a win if you're interested in seafood. The cocktail menu has a lot of personality with some great twists on classics.
Absolutely amazing food. The atmosphere is really nice but a little too loud and a little too dark for my specific taste but others will love it. Everything on the menu was great!!!Only thing that would make it better is more staff to help. Our waiter was great but to can tell he was short staffed. Also be aware of the strong smell of charcoal they cook with. But it's worth it. Their drink menu is awesome
This place was great. The food was phenomenal, they honestly need to make the skirt steak a permanent item, it was so good. The way the drink menu was presented was unique and it made it interesting picking what you wanted. It's a little small, but I feel like it really went well with the atmosphere. I'm excited to come back.
Had a perfect anniversary dinner here. We tried a few dishes and cocktails, all were delicious. A lot of thought went in to this place and it shows. But I have to say, the service was the best part. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Espiritu, thanks for the great night out!
So glad Espiritu opened in Downtown Mesa. Amazing cocktails and seafood dishes. The dulce de leche key lime cake is a MUST!
Such a cozy and lush atmosphere! Reminds me of Mexico City. Had a delicious melon salad and the cocktails were delicious. Our server was friendly and provided great suggestions. Will definitely be coming back. :)
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Mind you they had not been open very long. Service was great other than our food was extremely late and my dish came at least 30 min after his. Food was great.
How did I get so lucky?!?! My hubby knows me so well! He found a small, exotic place near home with all the shrimpies because he knows I love all the shrimpies. And the romantic ambiance. The mirrors… the plants…. The freakin vampire ish candles… the music…. The drinks…. Ugh. He just knows me. What a great date night with amazing food and bomb @ss drinks!!!
I should start off by saying how much of a DT Mesa fan I am! I love that all the restaurants and shops are really unique and nothing you can find in any other downtown here in the valley...Espiritu fits all of that! You might pass it by and not even notice it.. but once your in the space, you forgot it’s a Tuesday night! The space is inviting, fun and social.The drink menu is well thought, detailed and even witty.. I’m sure a ton of thought went into it and I appreciate them for that.I had the S.O.C.K.S cocktail, which is kinda like an old fashioned but a unique twist. They do offer 2 specialty drinks off menu every night. And also 2 food options that are not on the menu..We ordered the red snapper.. 10/10!! That was amazing! Crispy on the outside, flaky and full of flavor on the inside (makes me wonder if they brine it).. not sure I’ve ever tasted something that good.Service is great!
