*UPDATE* Someone via Costa Vida’s instagram reached out and asked me to email the details to them. While I had hoped that maybe they had wanted to make this situation right, it has been a month and I have heard nothing from them.Today several of my cousins went to lunch at the Dana Park Costa Vida. One of my cousins waited patiently in line, but the employee accused her of cutting and REFUSED to make her any food (even after others in line verified she didn’t cut). She is the nicest person ever and has even created a whole Facebook page dedicated to serving others. Do not give them your business, they don’t deserve it. They were so unprofessional today!
***Don't buy gift cards for family here.***They didn't accept their own gift card. They claimed the gift card we just got for Christmas was "too old and from their old system". Then, another employee claimed the person who gifted it to us, my straight as an arrow step mom, scammed us. ? A third employee said to call corporate which during their stated business hours went straight to a voicemail I expect we will never hear back from. Buyer beware. I wouldn't buy gift cards from them for any occasion and if you want that kind of food get that gift card from Cafe Rio instead! They'll take it!Update: Corporate never returned my phone call.
This was my first time at Costa Vida and it was great! You can see them cooking up fresh tortillas behind the counter, so that always seems to be a good sign. :) I had the salad and it was a huge serving. I brought some home as leftovers. The sweet pork is delicious and I'd highly recommend this restaurant overall!
I ordered online and arrived there a little after my expected time to pick up the order. I was informed that they no longer had the mango dressing and asked what they could replace it with and I was unsure so they provided me a bit of everything since I was unsure as to what my daughter would prefer. Then they had ran out of the queso I had ordered and it was being prepared the wait was going to be about 5 mins I had no issues with that always willing to wait as long as they communicate with me what is going on. Brad who I will assume is the manager was very helpful and has magnificent customer service as he was apologetic about the wait and let me know it was going to be a bit longer so he provided me a drink and some more chips with guacamole for the time I had to wait. I think it is very hard now days to find exceptional customer service and communication skills but Brad provided all of this and more. I believe he is a very valuable asset to Costa Vida for the way he handles customer service and communication skills. My family will definitely order from here again.
Absolutely the most rude and unprofessional interaction we've ever experienced. Joel (unknown spelling) should be retrained or not allowed to interact with customers. The manager should also sit through the training. Yelling at my wife for apparently cutting in line, even though the people in line stood up for her and confirmed she stood in the line for 15 minutes with them, and refusing to serve her, embarrassing her in front of dozens of people, including my children, who didn't eat, is completely unacceptable. Rarely do we write negative reviews but this deserves to be shared.
After standing in line for 10 min holding my toddler it was clear that we were not a priority and decided to go to pita jungle instead, 2 nd time at this location in the last month and not impressed by the quality of food or the service we have and haven’t received. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
The meal was good, I got the sweet pork enchelada plate with pinto beans and rice. The beans taste authentic, like home made beans. The sweet pork was like barbecue pork. A little too sweet for the Encheladas but I enjoyed every bite. The fresh pico has great flavor.
I feel really bad for this place, I don't know what's going on there but there's always different people there when I go to eat. We actually got our teenage son his first job here and he was really excited however someone different was training him every time or almost every time and also didn't seem like they give him proper training on cleaning up after hours. So I just think they could use some work on managing better
Went in last night at around 7:30 and the place smelled like an out-house or a bathroom at a highway rest area! They were grilling chicken and we had to wait for 10 min for that… we decided not to and went to a competitor a few miles down the road. Needs better ventilation and cleaning for sure!! May give it another try but they need to improve or we will take this location off our list!!!
I always order their a la carte sweet pork tacos, and I'm addicted. I don't know if I'll ever try anything else. The sweet pork is just amazing! Taco Tuesdays are the best. ?
