I remember coming to an Italian restaurant in Mesa last year, and that it was good ... so I looked up my history on Google Maps to see where I'd been, and saw that it was Babbo's.I specifically came for the $8.99 spaghetti and meatballs special. And I was not disappointed! They still run that special on Mondays and Tuesdays. Yayyy!Melony was the hostess who seared me in a comfy booth ..... and then she was also my waitress. She was excellent in both roles - happy and helpful and friendly.Good people.Good food.Good price.Gotta love that! I'll be back any time I'm in the area on a Monday or Tuesday.
Overall this was a good restaurant with great tasting food and a wide selection to choose from. The waiter was friendly and helpful - a bit absent minded but still a good waiter.
Delicious pasta with artichoke and olives. The red sauce is good enough that they should sell it in bottles.
Dined for lunch with my Brother's. Some of us stayed for 2 hours as we enjoyed ourselves. The service was attentive and appropriately gave us our space. Everyone enjoyed their meals and ate every bite.
Over priced. Focaccia was great but food was different. Maybe I should’ve chosen an Italian regular like chicken Alfredo. Will never return. Waitress was nice and punctual. She was tipped well it’s not her fault the food wasn’t up to par
Gage did a good to great job, he was pretty much serving the whole area. He was very personable. Food was good, atmosphere fine. Drinks (they were having a problem withe carbonation) he gracefully handled the exchanges of several drinks trying to resolve a problem that he really had no control over. The person from the soft drink company was on his way to fix the problem. Way to go Gage
MANAGER KNEW OF THE KIDS SIZED MEAL THEY SERVED TO US IN OUR TO GO. WE POINTED THE SMALL SERVING AND HE STATED IT WAS NORMAL. LIE! IVE ORDERED THAT EXACT MEAL AND IT WAS A FULL PLATE. WAS PRICE GOUGED FOR THE FULL DINNER PRICE AND MANAGER WALKED AWAY WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT, SORRY, REFUND, NOTHING. BLAND FOOD TOO! NOODLES FOR $15, ANYONE CAN BOIL WATER. THIS IS WHY WE CHOOSE TO NOT GO TO RESTAURANTS WHERE THE FOOD IS EASY MADE AT HOME. SAYING THAT, THE FOOD AT A RESTAURANT SHOULD BE PERFECT AND ITS BY FAR SUB STANDARD. HERE WAS A MEAL THEY THINK IS OK TO SERVE!3 meals purchased. Im sure Im not the only customer who was ripped off!!!
First time here and it was a great experience! The restaurant is really nice and cozy. You get bread with vinegar and oil. The bread was tasty by itself. I ordered the Great White Buffalo. Oh man it was so good and so much that I couldn't eat it all! It's buffalo chicken in gorgonzola sauce with blue cheese crumbles on top with linguine noodles. I'll definitely go back there. Our waitress was really nice and was on top of everything. I forgot to take a pic of my food. ☹️
Fantastic Italian fare. The firecracker appetizer is plenty for a standalone meal. Spaghetti and meatball special is a lot of good food with tasty sauce and huge lean meatballs. Service was attentive, friendly, patient and timed perfectly. Get here in good time as there can be line ups. We'll be back!
We shared a calzone - plenty for 2 people, especially after enjoying the tender, just-baked bread with olive oil & balsamic which they brought to our table almost as soon as we sat down. It was the most amazing calzone - light & flavorful crust, packed with good quality ingredients. Great service, and the patio was very pleasant. Only negative was the 10 minute wait at the register to pay our tab, while the lone cashier rushed about grabbing various bowls & boxes for a huge to-go order. Even if you're short-staffed, it's a good idea to take a moment to let the departing customer pay (our transaction took about 40 seconds) in between helping others. Otherwise - great job!
