This little gem is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center. You might never see it if you're only driving by. But they have an incredible menu and the food is "benissimo." Even the house cab was fantastic, but at $40 a bottle, it was definitely overpriced. We had an hour wait to be seated at 6pm on a Saturday night, and from what I gather, that's pretty standard. Still, the fare is worth the wait, so save your pennies and make a stop at Alessia's.
This place is hidden gem! Perfect for date nights or dinner with friends. Food is made from scratch and prepared with care. Oh and the tiramisu for dessert, yes please.
First time visit. Was incredible. Scott was very informative about the dishes and the presentations were awesome. Each of our party had a little different dish. Very tasty. The staff is very friendly and the cost is perfect.
Lovely setting and delicious food. Our server, Kelly was very nice.
We were looking all over for an authentic Italian restaurant in Mesa. Alessia's came recommended from a retired Italian chef and we weren't disappointed! The food was amazing and the portions were huge. We had a party of eight (all from Canada), and we were very impressed. There are very few good Italian places around Mesa; if you're looking for great Italian, you've got to check out Alessia's.
It is really nice inside you do not feel like you are right next to others dining. Extensive wine selection and they have a wine club. Our waiter Mateo was very attentive and was a good conversationalist. Now on to the food - it was great! We started with calamari the red sauce had great seasoning and the calamari melted in your mouth. I had Northern seafood risotto my partner had the lasagna with bolognese sauce that he loved.
This is the best Italian food I have had in a looooong time. I'm telling you, I can not recommend this place highly enough. It made me wish that I had a second stomach so that I could have kept eating. Their muscles are the best!
If I was going off of the food alone, 2 stars. If I was going off of the staff, 5+ stars. We were greeted well and the staff was truly phenomenal (great customer service). Definitely a family feel. However, our calamari appetizer was overcooked (calamari was rubbery). The Pescatora Sud risotto (pictured) was watery, and we also had seafood pasta which was served in the pasta water it was cooked in (and without a taste of the wine sauce). Likely just an off night considering it was extremely busy, and we will likely be back based on the great customer service.
Wet. Every dish was SWIMMING in watery versions of sauce. SO SO wet! The wine was lovely, the ambiance was great, the staff was FANTASTIC, but the food was so disappointing. Non e pasta, e zuppa!!!
Great service although my husband's leftover was drop accidentally, our waitress offer free dessert
