It was 104 degrees outside in Downtown Mesa, the main drag if fairly clear of traffic, maybe one or two pedestrians walking around very appropriately and devised shade… just the moment one thinks, an ice-cold brew would be perfect right now. Having attempted an eatery a couple of blocks down the road, unsatisfactorily – we found 12 West. A massive-looking, industrial-like façade with its fridged manufacturer semblance, just calling out to us, ‘it’s cool in here, come have a drink’! So, we did! The place is nice, and huge – an upstairs too! I am amazed this pub although with sports bar televisions, they are not on every square inch of wall space as in other places. And they’re not 12,000 square units either, a decent size nicely interspersed through out the enclosure. A fine-looking comfortable bar, mostly hightop table seating with a few here and there regular size bistro tables, nice. We were satisfied with what we came in for, some pub fare, beer and a cocktail. It was my first try of an ale I’ll watch for and drink again soon, Onza! Mexican Lager with lime. My wife’s Main Street Mule with orange blossom vodka, ginger beer and lime was excellent and refreshing! We thoroughly enjoyed our Green Chilli Fries and a fab Chicken Par m Sammich! Downtown Mesa visitors, you gotta head for 12 West.

Had a nice experience here. Our waitress was kind, informative, upbeat and happy to be doing her job. That makes a difference when someone is serving you. The place is clean, beautiful decor, burgers are small but you get lots of fries. The fish was okay. Beer was served correctly and our cocktails were delicious pieces of art. Overall a great experience. We will be back. Didn't see any distancing options or Covid precautions with giving menus from person to person or silverware, straws need to be environmentally friendly if offered etc.. Definitely a great social atmosphere and date night place.

Cool spot we found when attending a concert across the street at Mesa arts center. Started with pretzel app and drinks downstairs. We came back after the concert to have a late burger dinner upstairs. Food and drinks were great

Amazing atmosphere, great place to hang g

Great place. First time here. Switched bars inside the restaurant because bartender was not having the best day and seemed grumpy it really engaged or helpful. But we got Miller!! He was awesome and gave good recommendations. Very knowledgeable about the beers and cider. Had the pretzel and Katsu Parm. Great food.

Awesome beer and spirits, friendly staff, great food!

Non-Alcoholic Beer! And it’s good! Couldn’t have made this pregnant lady happier. Gina was our hostess and was very welcoming (not in a fake cheerleader way) and fun to chat with. Colby was our server and was really well versed on the food and drinks. It is a big place, but on a Wednesday night, we were still able to comfortably hear each other. My husband had a burger with bacon on it and I had the katsu pollack bowl. We ordered beer-battered fries as an appetizer, so got side salads with our meals. Everything was amazingly good. The little salad was much nicer than the traditional side salad places throw together. Wish they had a Phoenix location.

Last night our family had the best service at 12 Wast Brewery in Mesa. The server was very friendly and food was delicious. I will as impressed with the vegan meatballs. But more impressed when table next to ours ordered a cool lemonade that was served with a cool bubble presentation. My 8 yr old grandson was curious about it and asked the bartender how he made the large looking dome over the rim of the lemonade glass and he went and made a complimentary one for him to demonstrate how it’s made. It was so cool! I’m glad my grandson had the experience to see it up close. Thanks everyone for a great dinner and Funtime!

We visited 12 West during the middle of the day and had been meaning to stop by since we wanted to get to know some of the more established places in the Downtown Mesa area. Compared to some of the other spaces in Mesa this is definitely the largest as it has the indoor/outdoor sections as well as an upper level and now a lower level bar as well. Because of this we were hoping to really enjoy this place since it could be our go-to closer to home. The place was relatively busy and so we waited around 15 minutes for a table in the main dining area to avoid the heat outside. The space inside is great for larger groups with primarily large high tops and we were surprised to see they also have board games you can use which adds to a fun environment. We decided on a few of their rotating beers and got the Billet and the Citrus Haze. For food we decided on the Smoked Mac & Cheese and the Katsu Chicken Sandwich. While the menu seemed to have some different items than you’d expect we were honestly underwhelmed with the food. Both of our entrees were bland and the Katsu Sandwich in particular was our least favorite item. While the space is really nice and close to home we haven’t been back since but we really hope the next time we go things are a bit better because it seems like such a cool place to be! @wanderingwithustwo

I love a good IPA and there's no shortage of selection here... I tried 5 of them and all were excellent! The food was great but the best part was the Downtown Underground Mesa an old speakeasy cocktail bar down stairs with live music!
