Sad to see how this place has gone downhill. We've been coming here every summer for more than 10 years. It seems that since the fancy chef was hired a couple years back, they've lost a lot of customers. It's usually very busy in the evenings in the summer, I know the season is just getting going, but we've been here in the prime of summer in the last 2 years, and it was just as dead. There was one lady walking out with a to go order when we walked in at 6PM tonight, otherwise no one was at the bar and no one was sitting at any tables eating dinner. I know it's a weekday and that's when always we come (to miss the crazy weekends), but over the years we've usually come this exact week, the week before Memorial Day, and they used to be about 60-70% full at 6PM. The homemade chips that they used to have a few years ago, was one of the reasons we loved it, and I could literally eat the burger and chips 5 nights in a row, it was one of my favorite meals anywhere. They don't have the chips anymore, or the pizza my wife loves, they have a slimmed down one page menu, and the burger was $19.00! Sure it's an Angus burger but the original one they used to have was better in my opinion, and quite a bit less money. We saw some of the same waitresses that have been there for years, feel sorry for them, as I'm sure they are hurting with less customers and less tips. We've always stayed at the Nautical Inn, rented our Pontoon boat here as well, and ate at least 3 of our 5 nights at the Turtle Grill, but I guess we'll have to find a new place, which is sad, as the Turtle Grille used to be one of the highlights of our vacation.

Sat at the outdoor bat and ordered food. The Ceasar salad was delicious, highly recommend. The tacos were kind of basic. Nothing too special about them. The sauce was good but they could benefit from more Pico or cheese etc. It was just meat, sauce, and ice Berg lettuce.
Are here for lunch on a weekday afternoon with some business associates. The beautiful lake view from the dining room was the highlight. The food here is so-so and the menu is limited. Service was friendly and accommodating, yet the waitress was not as familiar with the menu as we expected. This restaurant is part of a resort that looks like a fun place to hang out. I'd probably come here for drinks and eat somewhere else.
Waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged before finally being seated. Another 15 minutes before we could place an order. They let us know that there is a 45 minute backup in the kitchen. When part of the food order came out the dry items were wet, hot food was like warm, so clearly the food sat for awhile... The food quality was barely equivalent to a drive thru. The price point is on the high side especially for what you are getting. This place is trash. No we wait, let's hope the shrimp tacos don't give me food poisoning. Based on what I've seen here I'll give it 50/50 odds.
The restaurant was basic with seating like a roadside diner, the wait staff was friendly enough but said the menu was new and couldn't speak about the menu items because they hadn't tried the food (please allow your servers taste your food!). That said, the 2 meals we ate there were fine, although the price was high for the quality.
Me and my husband always come to this restraunt. My family was in town and I wanted to take them to a very nice, upper class dinner before they left, not to mention one with a beautiful view... we sat down, the hostess handed me a 1 sheet plastic sheet with 12 items on the menu. I went back thinking she gave me the wrong menu. She said it was because of the Desert Storm poker run that was going on that week/ weekend.. Umm sad to say, nothing on the menu was even close to what they usually had and when the food came out I was so utterly embarrassed, it looked like high school cafeteria food on tiny plastic plates.. My aunt had to return her food because she ordered a Steak Fajita which essentially came out as an ice cold steak, lettuce wrap!
Food was terrible / waitress really didn’t appear to care that we returned uneaten food / will never return, even if offered Free Food !!!
Waitress either needed more training or just didn’t want to be there. She was completely not paying attention not only to us but the table beside us. The food we order was inedible, not fresh, very obvious from a frozen package and heated in the microwave. The shredded chicken had chunks of bone and grizzle. I have never had such a terrible meal, when we returned the appetizer virtually untouched saying we couldn’t eat it the waitress just walked away. Huge waste of money.
Great restaurant thats part of the nautical beachfront resort. They have slips to park at if you're coming by water. Food and staff were great.
