Love how close they are to the area that we are staying. This is the second time I've eaten at this place. The food looks amazing each time it's been brought out. The chips were delicious. My first visit I ordered a grilled chicken super burrito. Unfortunately it had an odd crunch to it so I only had a few bites. The waitress noticed I hadn't touched my food and asked if everything was okay. My boyfriend inquired about the crunch in the burrito and she responded that there was nothing that should have been crunchy in it. So she comped the plate and brought me a hard shell chicken taco ?. Which was absolutely delicious! Our second trip back I tried the choose 2 items build your own combo and got 2 of the specialty grilled chicken tacos. I subbed their cremé fraiche for regular sour cream on the side due to food allergies and when the plate came out I was a bit disappointed that it was still made with it. The waiter did bring me a side of regular sour cream and I managed to scrape out the chicken and made my own tacos with the second tortillas that my tacos were wrapped in and the regular sour cream. Unfortunately, because the cremé fraiche was mixed in with the chicken I still got sick a few hours later. My boyfriend got the chicken fajitas both times and loved them.
511/22 We had lunch today on the patio, service was great, Janine (sp) was our server, she had the best attitude and told us how she appreciated her job and the view she gets to look at every day, what a pleasure she was. Oh and the food was good too ??
We really liked this casual “cantina” overlooking the Lake Havasu London Bridge. Our server (Derek) was attentive and the food was great. Excellent Al Pastor chimichanga and the shrimp fajita was good albeit a bit too heavy on the green and red peppers for my taste. Loved the spices though. Try the Cadillac margarita and if you are into wine, the Josh and J.Lohr are great. VictorB
All in the details. My menu had food inside it, the waitress didn’t apologize or say anything, just brought another one. She got my food wrong which is fine, it happens. The food and chips were delicious. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. Carpet and walls around our table were dirty. Our waitress was tentative and warmed up before we left. The hostess stand was buzzing with three people that could be cleaning instead of talking.
Decent Mexican food with huge portions. Be prepared to bring it home. We got the steak fajitas and the 7 layer dip for 2 ppl and still had to pack 2 boxes home.Even for the kids meal, the portions are twice what we are used to seeing.The virgin margarita was alright, wish it had more flavors.But overall, super fast service, great servers and nice atmosphere.
Horrible Customer Service, A hostess with a bad attitude seated us outside at 9pm, we were told kitchen closed in 10 minutes, sat for 15 minutes with nothing - no drinks before a server with a cocky confrontational attitude showed his face , we made a decision to leave rather than deal with the hostile environment. Shugrue should be embarrassed & ashamed ! This IS NOT the best Mexican food in Havasu - far from it, its a tourist trap that capitalizes on its great location. Its the worst restaurant in Havasu!
Dirty glasses, very poor service, was not a clean place.. And was there for 40 min before taking order. We just told them to forget it and went somewhere else. Very disappointed
We have dined here several times and it is the best Mexican food in Havasu. Excellent service, dog friendly, large portions, and reasonable prices. We will be back!!
#1 the hostesses acted like we bothered them to walk in at 4pm? #2 they were good looking, but that's where it stops. They walked us back to our table and after 20 minutes, then plopped the napkins and menus down in a stack and left us. Awhile later another waitress brought chips and salsa. Waited on waters on a hit day.....5, 6 , 7 minutes. Had to go asked someone for water! 3. Chloe was our waitress and she did a great job once she got to us. 4. Food and alcoholic drinks were great. 5. I am sure management will blame covid and short on help, but the two hostesses need customer service training now!
Nice atmosphere with view of the water. The steak fajitas were excellent with large chunks of steak and a tasty teriyaki sauce. Others had the seafood enchiladas and thought they were amazing. The drinks were good not great but after a few they improved (wink). Great experience, I highly recommend.
