An occasional chocolate shake is a guilty pleasure for me but I still stick to a small. Today, small was very small - small Whataburger shakes are supposed to 16oz but the photo below is a 12oz cup, basically a coffee cup. The cup seemed small when I got take.out but I didn't realize just how small until I got home. Hopefully, this was just an oversight and not the "new normal.". It's pretty shady to short customers 25% and charge the same price. Disappointed.
Used to be really good. Ordered two meals, both large sized. After a 20 minute wait in drive thru, the girl at the window hands us our food and drinks. One is a large size and the other is small sized. When I asked her, she said nope, you order a large and a small. I showed her the small fri that I was given and didn't care or offer to fix. Just slid the window closed.
UPDATE: 5/21We gave this place another try. Ordered. Waited in line for about ten minutes before getting to the window. She took my card and never came back. I waited for about 10-15 more minutes while NO ONE came to the window. Finally someone brought my card back saying they were having computer problems. They then hand me my food which I double checked and it was cold. The fries were cold. The sandwiches barely warm. I asked for new food since we waited so long. They had us pull to the front. I barely parked when she walked out with our "new" food. This food was just warm. Not even fresh!! Worst part of all of this is they keep hitting my debit card for payment after they already took the amount. I got double charged already as it is. Luckily I blocked it otherwise they would've taken this payment at least ten times by now. This is completely unacceptable!!!! Will NEVER go back there now. Natalie, a manager, was not helpful and could care less.10:00 at night, 4 people in front of me. I don't see anyone in the kitchen but see a lot of orange shirts just walking around talking. Some sitting at a table. One employee, with gloves on, comes out to the seating area talking to her coworkers. She had a headset on, so I assume she was working the drive thru. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before getting to the window. That's a bit ridiculous. There looks to be at least 5-6 workers here right now.
Understanding the shortage of workers all over the country you think you would be a little more patient waiting for food. However this place is slow. Management should step up and help their workers when it gets busy. One person working both the drive thru and the counter while one other cooks just isn’t enough. Sat in the drive through for 15 minutes waiting on food.On the upside, the food is pretty good and hot.
I have eaten at this Whataburger numerous times over the past 21 years, and I don't remember ever once having a problem. The staff has always been very friendly, and I have enjoyed all my meals. My favorite is the Whataburger w/ cheese on Texas Toast, and add mayo and ketchup. Their french fries are great as well with the Spicy ketchup. If you order through the app, you'll sometimes get free rewards which is also very nice.
Let me begin by stating that I absolutely LOVE Whataburger. That said, my last visit was uncharacteristically terrible. I ordered curbside via the app. I was told that my order would be ready at 4:00. I arrived at 3:56 and entered the space number as requested. After seeing someone who arrived after I did receive his order and drive off I began to get curious. At 4:10, I called the store and they said it would be right out. At 4:17, my order was finally brought out. The onion rings were cold and falling apart. The cheese that had stuck to the paper was rock hard and the burger looked like someone had dropped it then put it back together. It was a mess (and also not hot). I ordered extra jalapeños, but they were few and far between. They were, however, very generous with the sauces, which made for a very mucky mess. In summary, this visit was awful. Even after my complaint, all i received was a half hearted, forced, "Sorry" from the person who finally brought my food. If I had been a first time visitor, I would never return and I would tell as many people as possible to avoid Whataburger forever. Fortunately, I'm going to chalk it up to some internal problem of which I have no knowledge, and give them another chance to prove that they are my favorite hamburger restaurant. Let's hope that they show marked improvement next time.
THE WORST LOCATION ON EARTH! Ordered online at 7 a.m said my order would be ready between 7:22- 7:30 got there at 7:30 they hadn't even started my food. Asked the male manager what happened he said he didn't know. I requested a refund they said we had to call the customer care line. I call them and they didn't care, gave us the run around. I called the store and spoke to a female manager Stephanie and she said call the customer care line for a refund. I told her they weren't giving my refund she didn't care. No apologies NOTHING to make my experience better. I never got food and they took my $40. I'll never spend another dime with this company.
Food is as good as any other fast food chain. The employees are conductance more friendly than others. The issue is the slowness in the food prep. They are just too slow. Two, three, four or more minutes per order, come on! The need to get faster.
One of the most consistent fast food locations. I placed a huge order here for 5 people and they nailed everything including custom orders. Thats a low bar to achieve, but most fast food places can't manage. Foods always great and prices are reasonable.
The food was pretty normal which is good! Only problem was the inattention to requests such as sides and whatnot. That being said, Whataburger has usually been one of my favorite burgers and remains so!
