I literally hate making bad reviews but it needs to happen when things need to be called out. Let me just say that tonight was such a disappointment. When I walked in , there was a FULL house of people waiting to get their drinks,, I’ve never seen nothing like it. I was worried I wasn’t going to get it in time because I had work right after, but I was craving tropical so bad. But I didn’t realize it’d take 30 MINUTES or more to get one dang drink. I was trying to be nice and respectful because I’ve been in their shoes.. BUT this was SO unacceptable. While everyone was getting their drinks before ME, which ended up being me THE ONLY ONE IN THE STORE when everyone left ,, it turns out my order wasn’t even PUT IN or WASNT out on the counter for my name to call out. When I tasted my drink in the car. It tasted so not good. I felt I was tasting more of the whey protein than the other ingredients. Their oven machine was down so I couldn’t eat my usual wrap. This really put me in a annoying stage because now I don’t want to order from this location or even all locations. Please get this store together , because this is the worst

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. This is a customer service review and has nothing to do with the company itself. The location I’m reviewing is the Topical Smoothie in Goodyear on McDowell. We got poor customer service the second we walked in. The sad woman with purple curly hair was rude right off the get go. We ordered 2 smoothies, a quesadilla, and a sandwich. We got our smoothies within a few minutes. Then proceeded to sit there for 40 minutes with no food yet. During this time, 4 different customers complained about the bathroom being out of both toilet paper and paper towels. Then we witnessed a DoorDash driver picking up an order for something and she met the gal with purple hair at the counter to grab it. The DoorDash lady didn’t say thank you and so the lady with purple hair threw a hand up in the air and rudely said “yeah thanks to you too!”. Her customer service is astonishing. After finally saying something about our missing food, we came to find out that our food had been forgotten about entirely. A woman that was leaving at the end of her shift apologized, said our wait time was unacceptable, and had me write our order down on paper for her to leave with the other girls. We sat there for another 20 minutes before finally receiving our food. On our way out, the lady with purple hair (knowing our frustration) starting speaking poorly about us before we were even out the door and then gave me an over- exaggerated wave with a big smile in the hopes to make me even more upset.This woman needs to remove herself from the customer service world immediately. I can only hope she changes her ways before karma gets ahold of her ?P.S. our smoothies and food were delicious, even though we had an hour wait.

This is RIDICULOUS. I placed a mobile order at 11:40am for pickup at 11:50am. I get to tropical and it is 12:10pm, Im running a little behind due to work so i said no worries my food will be ready... NO its not. I wait almost 30 minutes for my food. I see around me and everyone is waiting on food, I understand it is busy BUT there were 4 people doing food. The worker calls out a name, can't even hear him. After a few more minutes I need to get back to work, I ask for a refund. She was bothered and gave me a refund, ridiculous i used to love this location. I would go everyday and after a year it couldn't get any worse.

I wouldn’t go to this location again. The wait was long. It was dirty. There were grasshoppers throughout it and who knows when it was cleaned last because there was even dead ones! I really wish I would’ve saw it all before I ordered. Makes you wonder how clean their equipment is. ?

I never have left a review before but I have had bad customer service here before but this one was worse. When we walked in we said hello and the man at the counter did not say a single word and just stared at us aggressively and made us feel uncomfortable. He proceeded to not speak the whole entire time and just hit buttons for our order. He was still staring at us the whole time while doing this and it weirded us out. After he took our order we waited only for a short time for the smoothies but when they brought them out they did not say any name and the guy was still just staring off, not sure if he was on substances or what but very poor experience. Smoothies were good though.

cool looking place. smoothie was a little watery tasting. disappointed in the lack of interest about the menu the employees here have and no attempt to find out. seeing as how I have specific things I can't eat along with a gluten allergy I have to be careful about what I order. here they don't even make any attempt to help so you're pretty much on your own. customer service needs a lot of work unfortunately.

I really enjoy Tropical Smoothie, but unfortunately I can not spend any more of life waiting an hour on orders of 1 smoothie and 1 food item. I also feel sorry for the female workers at this location because the woman’s bathroom does not lock. Do better as an establishment.

ONE STAR AS A PARTING GIFT - I have never left a bad review in my life but I’ve also never been treated so horribly. I can’t believe that a place we come to so frequently would STEAL from me. We get smoothies here at least a few times a week and I often buy smoothies for friends, family, teachers and teams too. NEVER AGAIN.After getting smoothies for my family, I then purchased 16 large smoothies & chips (a $159 order) to surprise my daughter’s volleyball team yesterday and had my son bring them out to the car. When I saw there were only 13, I asked him to grab the last three.He then went into the store and was in there so long that a long line had formed behind him, so I went in to see if everything was okay. Unbeknownst to me at the time the so-called “team lead” belittled and scolded my shy 13 year old son, for kindly asking for the three smoothies that we didn’t receive. Upon my entrance, my son immediately went to the car saddened, and I soon after found out that it was because he was publicly humiliated and berated in front of a many others, because the same thing then happened to me when I was verbally attacked and called a liar in front of a full restaurant. We paid for 3 large smoothies. They took money for goods not rendered. They stole from us, not only monetarily but also took an hour from our lives that we’ll never get back.Three girls on the volleyball team were left out and did not get the smoothies that I paid for.She would not give me her name nor allow me to talk to the teenage boy who made our smoothies because I was certain he could vouch for us. I even asked him, “Can you please help us? Remember we ordered 16 smoothies?” Instead, he walked by scoffing and laughed at me.I was also told I couldn’t speak with management.Employees with faces mostly covered, except when raising her voice, & when he laughed at me, and no name tags. When people can mask their faces AND conceal their identities they don’t take ownership of their actions. This is like online bullying turned to real life.Because I was told I could not speak to anyone in management, I’m posting here in hopes that someone takes ownership of the store and the actions of those they’re trusting to run it. There was no transparency, accountability or respect. Even a little would have gone a long way.As a fellow business owner in the service industry I know times are hard, people are busy, and good employees are hard to come by, but I’m still so saddened at Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s employee’s dishonesty and by this harrowing experience. We as fellow human beings can do better.It was embarrassing, unprofessional, and illegal.Please review the footage on your cameras.As much as it hurts my heart to say this, as a long time regular customer, we will not be returning.

If I could give this place a 0 I definitely would. I just moved here and wanted a smoothie and thought I would give this place a try cause it looks good. One the way inside my dog hit the lock button on the car and locked my 4 month old child in the car. I know I know bad, how could I. But I was literally walking around to the other side of the car to get him out of the car and my dog hit the lock button as soon as I closed the drivers door. Luckily the windows were cracked and I was able to use something to get my kid out. However I went in to tropical smoothie cafe to ask for a broom, mop, or a long stick to unlock the door and something to stand on. The employee said let me go check with my manager. She walked 10 ft away and asked her manager and she said no. She said the manager said we aren’t allowed to. Really? You aren’t allowed to help me get my child out of a locked car? Or lend me something to get into the car? I was ready to leave my AirPods or something as collateral in exchange for a broom and step stool. “My manager said no” well there goes my business

Once in a while i order the sunrise sunset and chicken caprese sandwhich, which taste awesome, using the door dash app from home to select it and pay before arrival, and then either pick it up when i arrive to bring back home and eat, or i have it delivered by a driver. Never had a negative experience with it. 5 stars.
