Food was good the jalapeño sushi roll was the highlight because we had never tasted like that. ?
Yes!! Hubby loved the soup mentioned taste was very good compared to other places else have gone. Their spicy miso ramen was the best!! Not to spicy and noodle texture was perfect.
We went for happy hour and got miso soups, hibachi salads, Spicy Ninja, Sunset and Crazy rolls. All of this food for 2 people came out to be less than $40. A fantastic price compared to the other sushi joints we’ve been to. Not to mention the service was on point! We’ll be back again and again.
I am gluten free for allergy. I have eaten here once before without a problem for Nigari. EVERY restaurant should know imitation krab has gluten in it to bind the Pollack fish fibers together for most California type rolls. I can't eat most rolls. I specifically asked for the “couple roll” which advertises SNOW CRAB, not imitation krab. The picture even shows it. The waitress agreed it was genuine and I made is VERY clear to the waitress that I am allergic to Imitation krab and to please make it known to the sushi chefs. She put it in the computer and went back to talking to her friends. In the meantime I ordered a glass of wine. When my roll finally came, 15 minutes after my husband’s roll, I ordered another glass of wine and before taking a bite, noticed it had imitation krab in it! I called the waitress over and the manager and gave them a teaching moment! The manager said she would have it comped. That’s NOT the point! It could have made me VERY SICK if I had eaten it… plus it was False advertising! Also, the bathrooms stink of urine and mildew and I never got my glass of wine because the waitress didn’t think I wanted it! BEWARE of this place!
Very good sushi selection and my wife loved the curry. Courses came out apitisers first followed by the meal which is a pleasant surprise. Menu had a wide verity of options for different styles of meal depending on your taste. Only real negative was a few different aspects could use a good update. Such as the menu's for one example. Still a great place to eat and wouldn't hesitate to go again.
Such good food and great atmosphere.
Best sushi in the West Valley. Sushi is always delicious and the service is good. The Kama is easily the best item on the menu--exceedingly moist and delicious fish collar. Unfortunately, they don't always have it in stock so call ahead!
Overall the food was amazing. We ordered pot stickers, the Snow White roll and the Dysart roll (pictured). The pot stickers were decent, the Snow White roll was slightly spicy but delicious and the Dysart was straight amazing. Having the sushi panko fried gave it great texture. The food was fresh and came out quick. I'm only giving 4 stars because the service wasn't that great. I understand being understaffed like most places but I wasn't offered a refill on my drink and was asked by a different waitress if my order had been take yet. Are the waiters not assigned specific tables to provide service to?
We got a sashimi bowl and a couple rolls. The fish tasted really fresh and the rolls had great flavor. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.
It's conveniently located inside a shopping Center. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant was clean. I was seated quickly and given good attentive service. I always enjoy a good bento box for lunch and I ordered bento E. It seemed the best for the most variety of choices. All the bento boxes get miso soup with them unfortunately they serve at American style and you get it before the Box comes. In bento box E, they give you barbecue beef which really Kalbi, Korean style short ribs, they were good and a nice choice for a bento box. For a roll they gave you what they call a crunch roll which is basically fake crab and tempura shrimp It was supposed to have avocado in it but it was missing. The roll was ok. They also give you three potstickers or gyoza which is Japanese style potstickers (deep fried pork filled). They were a little cold but ok. You also Is got a variety of tempura for lunch too. It was OK but they made the sweet potato slices two slices too thick so they didn't completely cook. You also got broccoli but unfortunately it wasn't just florets they included a big stem, so it was not cooked through as well, They had other choices they could have used a slice of red pepper or a green bean or yellow sweet onion or a single mint leaf but did not The salad unfortunately was was iceberg lettuce hard to believe in 2022 that iceberg lettuce is served as a accompanied salad. In a bento box it costs almost 20 bucks for lunch. The food was just ok and but could have been a little warmer and the portions were fair, but not cooked through. If I could give them a 2 and a 1/2 I would but I can't so I'll give them a three. I also would give them another chance but I would out mind my concerns before I ordered.
