The food was delicious!! The service this time, and last time, was nothing to shout about— we got the feeling we were forgotten after our food arrived. Lol This is the 2nd time I ordered the green chili stew and it is so yummy, it was swimming in gravy but couldn’t find much meat. I may not get it again since you don’t get much for your money.
Very good experience from the get go until we left. The food was great. The server was serving a large area. He made it look easy. When he was one side of the restaurant, others were quick to help. The food was good. Based on both the service and food, we will be back. When we have guests from out of state, this is one place we will take them.
It used to be such a good deal. Go to Happy Hour. Great appetizers and drink specials. Great service. Well the service is still great. But the Happy Hour isn't very happy. In fact, it's really disappointing. We won't be back unless things get better. I know it sold recently. Maybe the new owners think deals don't belong in fine dining. But Macayos played so long because it was family friendly dining. I hope they figure it out soon. I love the nachos and green tamale bites.
Everytime my husband and I visit Phoenix from Canada we have to have a meal at Macayo's in Goodyear!The food is amazing and the Margarita's are great!
Used to love this place but their menu and food quality has gone down hill, while their prices have gone way up. I gave them a star just for the fact that they were open during the super bowl unlike the 5 other Mexican restaurants we tried first. This visit provided some of the worst customer service we've ever received. The server started a fight with my wife and made a scene. They've lost customers for life.
The service was great but the food was eh. The rice straight up taste like lard and the green sauce was not something I'd get again. Maybe I'll try the fajitas or something next time with no beans or rice.
When you receive great hospitality before & on your way to your seat, you know you've chosen the right place to dine. Our waitress(April) had such personality, that we couldn't help but enjoy ourselves. To watch her effortlessly perform her duties, was like watching Michael Jordan take his opponents to task. You can tell she loves her job. Kudos to the MGMT(Lynn) you picked a keeper. Keep up the great work:):)

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was warm and inviting! Our Server/Waitress was Amazing!! She went above and beyond to accommodate us!It was very festive and clean! This is a place I would definitely recommend and a place I would frequent.
We were long time residents of Phoenix, Arizona but moved to Kentucky where there is hardly any good Mexican food. It's always good to come back & eat some! It took a little time to seat us but it was a Friday night.. Made up that we had a great server!
