I would like to preface that my family has eaten her before several times, and have always been satisfied with the quality and service. However tonight was not the case. Based on service, cleanliness, and some quality control issues we were going to give it a 2, but the entrees and sushi were decent and pulled it up to a 3.1) We ordered steak tepanyaki, child's serving, 4 sushi rolls and 2 fountain drinks... $128.00, very overpriced in our opinion2) The salad that came with my meal was SOAKING in dressing (see picture) there was literally 1/2 an inch of dressing the bowl, and I was told that I needed to use a plastic fork because they didn't have silverware, our miso soup was also pure beef broth like from a can and had no flavor beyond the beef broth3) At this point we were concerned and asked the waiter to cancel our order after expressing our concerns based on quality. He said it's already done and there's nothing he could do. While I can empathize with the waiter, there was absolutely no desire to improve our situation or to bring it to the attention of his supervisor. He just left.4)While there, I used the restroom, which was filthy, trash can on the changing table(pictured), dirty mirrors, vent fans coated in dust (pictures), no paper towels and doors who have been through the ringer and hanging off the hinges.5) Our main courses were decent, but the child's portion was the EXACT same as the adult portion, but $10 cheaper (see picture)6) Lack of maintenance is evident everywhere you look, mismatched furniture, dirty door windows, dirty floors, crumbling exterior, lack of utensils etc.7) Food was decent, but not worth the price. I could go down the road and get better food and cleaner environment down the road. We chose this place because we have had good experiences before. We will never come back.

The chef making sushi at the bar tonight was awesome, we bs'd for a while. Michelle was my server. She was sweet, and good at her job. Never kept me waiting even if she was busy. It was towards the end of the night, so the atmosphere was chill. And I never felt rushed. For those curious I ordered saba (mackerel) salmon roe, tuna Maki, and yellowtail. Gyoza ? and chicken katsu dinner. Buddy I didn't realize how much chicken was going to be on that plate ? will make a good lunch tomorrow. Also, with a 30% tip I walked out of there spending less than 50$

Had the best waitress in the world, Miss Leilani. Ask to be seated in her section next time you go! I may be biased because she is my daughter, but seriously I vouch for her 1 million %! This little mama has the happiest and most genuine personality you will ever come across and I was floored by the drinks she made us! My husband and I got a MaiTai and a Buddha and they were phenomenal! I’ve been coming to Hayashi for as long as I can remember. At least 15 years now. And the filet and shrimp teppanyaki dish is fabulous!!! Their sauces are so yummy. I can’t get enough. I’m all about experience. Customer service has to be on point for me to keep coming back. Now that they have my little mama there, know you will be in great hands!!! She is super attentive, always has a smile on her face, will greet you with enthusiasm and provide quick, exceptional service. Take good care of her all! Enjoy your time!

It started with the front door, absolutely filthy. The entry area floor, the sushi bar counter, the menu - all sticky and dirty. Then came the waiter. We left.

This place must be under new management. Just visited yesterday after a few months. They raised their menu prices like 30% and the place is filthy filthy. The furniture is in rough shape, the menu is very limited. Dinner for 2 cost is close to $100 with no alcohol. Looking for a better Japanese place in Goodyear.

Friendly atmosphere and hosts. Enjoyed the foods and entertainment. We have been there with a family. It was a bit wait to walk in to the table but the host was very apologetic for not being there and she was super nice about walk us to the table.Waitress was very nice and friendly. With 2 little kids she was constantly checking with us and making sure everything we needed.Chef was funny and very friendly. Cooked a good portion of food and enough to go around. So much food and delicious ?Definitely recommended.

I understand a restaurant when they are busy to be patience but you need to acknowledge customers that get seated. Literally sat down for 30 minutes and was not asked to start drinks or even ask if we been helped or ordered yet. Waitress was checking on other customers around us and yet here we are with closed menu waiting annnd NOTHING!! I gave up and decided to walk out and was going to tell the hostess they should make sure to check on ALL customers BUT of course I go to the front and there are no waitress standing there. Guess we shall go settle for Yogis instead.

A normal roll is 8pc of sushi. One their $15+ dollar rolls you get 5 pieces of sushi, not 8 and while they do look very good they are impractical eating and arent rolled tight enough to stay assembled. They often use smoked salmon instead of fresh sushi grade salmon and that really changes the flavor. The fish doesn't have rich color or texture. The whole place smelled like a mixture of propane and bleach which is rough to stomach and not appetizing. The bathrooms were not clean and we're kind of abused...screws falling out of the door and having to lift the door to be able to lock it...not expected when dinner is $84. The Salmon teriyaki dinner was 3 rough cut salmon sections seared on each side but not cooked through to the center. Over shredded raw cabbage with fried rice slapped all over the plate and a spoonful of grilled vegetables...those were done well and a mix of mushrooms and zucchini and onions. Definitely worth $12 but unfortunately not worth $29.

So well all i can say is sadly this is the last time we will ever spend a dime here at this establishment we have been a loyal customer for many trips after school pick and we come many times not just for special ocassions but honestly bc our daughter loves sushi and the experience. We were sat by a hostess young man named christian we had no issue but when we got seated it was like 10 min and no one i beleive realized we were seated. Then i get up to find out what is going on and thats not what upset me then he goes to look and still nothing is happening then well i was tired i asked for the manager he tells me we have no manager and he kept saying no one is in charge tonight wow... really no body is in charge. Anyways what made it worse they all looked like deer in headlights and christian the hostess kind of laughed it off as my anger was amusing him. And then says we o well u asked for a manager how insulting i wanted the person in charge since he did not think it was important to address the experience. Finally Amy the head server comes and say we can take care of you but at this point we are leaving we spend a decent amount here and looking over the last 5 months we have spent well over 1k .if this company and the owner hire emplyees like that hostess then i will never come back as long as employed like that are working or should say hardly working. Thank you for getting us out of our routine bc we went to a better resturant who value in customer service ah-so sushi and steak.

It seems this place charges for seats and not per entree. I went with 4 adults, a 2 year toddler and a 9 year old which did not order and split into 2 check and each of the checks there was an 18 % gratuity charged with no option for us to do more or less, Food was great but server and service was not professional in my opinion. I would not recommend it and will definitely not come here again.
