My wife and I tried this place for the first time on a Friday night around 8pm! They were a bit understaffed and we waited at the host table for a while until we were acknowledged. After that, the experience was terrific! We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was very nice and took our orders. The place was super small so I can’t imagine if it was busy. Felt very much like a hole in the wall, good atmosphere and perfect for our date night. Sushi was great and prices were good too. We’ll definitely be back!
My buddy used to work here and loved it! I have eaten here for years. This is my go to sushi spot. The staff have always been very friendly, timely, and know the menu well. There are so many rolls to choose from and they even have less common items like frog legs (super good!) if you're into that. They have even kept their prices realtivley low, even with inflation.
For a long time this was one of our favorite places. We had a few times that the food was not as good a few years ago and stopped going. We have since decided to gove it another shot and they are back maybe better than before. We have now been back 3 times and it is back to what we think is the best sushi in the west valley.
This is our new favorite sushi place! We like to go every other week and this place is amazing. My husband and I sat at the sushi bar and Steve took great care of us. He also recommended a great sake. We had the Alaska roll, Crazy roll and sashimi tuna and salmon. So fresh. We love this place. Thanks, guys!
Sushi is good but this place needs an overhaul. They have no hostess to greet you, there is no area to wait for a table, I sat on a booth that was so torn up I had to sit on a menu not to get scratched by the ripped up booth. They need to expand the dining area and Spruce the place up a bit. But if you're lucky enough to get a table the food is good.
Been here twice. The sushi was good and we ate lot of food for a good price. There were quite a few menus which was slightly overwhelming and took up a lot of space on the table, but each menu had different food to offer, so that was nice. The Sake we ordered was also very good. The other drinks (served in the cup), weren’t so good. You could taste the soap and tap water.Luckily we got a good waitress/waiter both times we visited who were attentive and helpful. The gentleman who waited us was incredibly patient and very kind to us. I do, however, know exactly who the rude older waitress is that the other reviews talk about. First she was rude to my mother in law when asking for a table. Then, after dinner we had left and realized we forgot something at the restaurant. When we go back inside to retrieve our item, the rude waitress gives off a loud sigh that makes other people at the restaurant look up. She became nice when she realized we weren’t there to get a table. All in all, the restaurant is good and has potential to be more than good, but they have some issues to fix. Probably first starting with getting rid of the one person who’s causing them all of the bad reviews. And of course not serving drinks that taste like soap/tap water.
It was ok. They were pretty busy with dine in and take out. My food was just shy of 30 min late. Being overwhelmed, one of the employees was kinda rude at times, and I even saw a couple of guys walk out because of that.Food was somewhere between ok and good. It reminded me of Japan, but with a Chinese American twist. Not the best but it was good. The inside is kinda cozy and not to well done.Overall it’s pretty average. It stays busy, so maybe it’s for some people
Unfortunately I can’t give a review on the food. We arrived at 8:00pm on a Friday night. Most of the inside tables were full and they weren’t seating on the outside patio. A group of 4 were standing out front waiting to be seated. After waiting about 5 min to be greeted, a rude lady finally stopped to ask us how many were in our party. She then proceeded to tell us they were full and that it would be a very long wait. It was very apparent we were an inconvenience to her and that we were not welcome. We would not have had a problem waiting for a table had the server been welcoming or even slightly nice. We left and will not be back.
VERY good food!Spectacularly terrible server. I hate, really hate leaving a poor review. The server will surely not last I'm afraid. The sushi was great! The Chef is friendly and exceptionally talented. Try the sushi pizza. We tried several dishes. All great. Tip the new server!
A little pricey for it being a small place and kind of cluttered but the food did not dissapoint! My bf had spicy miso ramen and it was lacking miso flavor but the spice was there. I got the Tonkatsu ramen and the noodles were too al dente for my liking I would have preferred more cooked but it was overall good still.
