This restaurant used to be so great until they started making so many changes that it ruined the customer experience. First, they got rid of all the good Mexican beers and now they got rid of their happy hour. Guess we will have to go to our other favorite spot from now on.
ALLERGIES BEWARE! The hibachi grill chef didn't want to 'inconvenience' everyone else at the table by making them wait longer. That's a great idea, but when there's an allergy that will kill someone, who's the only person at the table with an issue, it's better to cook their food first and then serve everyone else. Hibachi has never been a problem for us, until this place. What's more interesting is that she noticed her allergy starting after only eating the rice, which means that the grill wasn't well cleaned.Only saving grace was the server. She did a great job managing all of her sections and our table. And she was willing to get our food cooked in the back instead of on the contaminated grill.Clean your grills and utensils better. Allergy food comes first.
So much fun for families!! We came with a group and everyone loved it!! The atmosphere, the chef and the food were all great. They were out of lobster but that didn’t spoil anything for us…just went for another option & want disappointed!
We ate here during happy hour and never once felt like it was too busy . Great service, felt like we consistently had people checking of us in a non bothersome way. Food was great, had every roll on their happy hour menu plus calamari and it was scrumptious. It was our first time but not our last!
Beware they don’t serve seared steak, instead it is a chopped steak. I was not made aware by the server and it is nowhere on the menu. We ordered the filet mignon and I was honestly surprised to receive it already cut into chunks prior to cooking. Such a great cut of meat, ruined, and they charge $32+ for it. Oily fried rice, overcooked soggy veggies and very overcooked dry chewy tough shrimp. I was also very disappointed with the sushi rolls. Deep fried roll was soggy from sitting out too long, before it got to us. The spicy tuna overpowers anything else in the roll. Overall, a very bad experience for the pricing and wait.
Our chef was very entertaining and even had us sing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy. It didn't take long to be seated and the food was delicious. Perfect first time experience for my son.
I’ve been going to AH-SO for years because the family enjoys the food and the cooks are entertaining. However, I’m sad to say that we will no longer eat there. Because of this funky new policy of charging people $5 per person if you don’t like onions. Makes no sense because you’re subtracting from your order and not adding to your order. I guess times are hard, but you don’t get repeat business from customers if you nickel and dime at every possible scenario.
We ordered takeout and was told half hour wait. So we left to another store while waiting when we get a call stating they are out of lobster. So we took shrimp instead and asked if there was a difference in cost and was told no. Then yea. We drove to 4 different stores. To get there and food still not done and missing a whole meal. Finally walked out and was still missing soups and salads. Returned to wait another half hour just to get soup and salad. Cashier and server were very unprofessional and didn’t know what they were doing.
Such a beautiful restaurant the ambiance and decor were so cute! Food was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious! We ordered take out but had drinks at the bar… the service was a little slow and staff were a little moody but it was NYE and they were busy so I’ll give them credit since I wouldn’t want to work on NYE either. LOL ? Overall I was impressed though and the food was really good so I can’t wait to go back and dine in. We ordered a filet and chicken dinner combo, chicken and shrimp dinner combo, shrimp tempura roll and a Vegas roll and all were 5 stars! Thanks Ah-So!
Terrible customer service!! After sitting outside in the cold for an hour with 3 small children we were told we could not get a cook table because the hostess did not put us down for one. I begged and pleated with the hostess as it was my daughter's bday and we came here for this experience. She flat out refused even tho it was her mistake. My family watched her seat people at the empty table that should have been ours.. Customer service is not what it used to be. Will never return to this place! :(
