great food and beer selection
We are in town for a baseball tournament and our sons birthday happened to fall as we were here. My husband called around to several places looking for a place we could celebrate with the team. Not only did the Funk House manager reply but they were more than accommodating. They got us all set up with the back lanes reserved. We had two waitresses attending to the groups. Everyone had a good time. The manager checked in with us and the staff was awesome. Some of the boys broke a bowling rule and the staff was quick to speak to us and communicated repercussions if they continued. We spoke to the boys and we were able to continue with our party without issue. The waitress suggested the blackberry lime Grose. With was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. My husband and I both ordered a salad which took longer than expected, but tge waitresses were very apologetic.Thank you to the staff for a wonderful time!
This place is amazing. I came here with my family and everything was perfect from the food, beers, service and atmosphere. My kids loved bowling Even though they are only toddlers. My Husband tried a flight of beer and my pregnant self enjoyed a three course meal where everything was delicious. The Chop Salad is a must have.
We always have fun bowling and eating and drinking here, but today I found a sticker on my tomato. I know it's nothing too harmful, but if this is being overlooked, who knows what else might be overlooked. Check your food, be safe.
Order was wrong when brought to the table. Waitress used the “r” word. My sisters food was cold. My beer cheese burger didn’t have the beer cheese on it. Slow service. First time there and don’t plan on ever returning.
Man I hate writing reviews like this but it’s absolutely necessary in this economy that we are in to spend your money wisely.Food was major MEH, we waiting an hour for 5 meals and most of it was cold and really sub par. I ordered a mango margarita….don’t bother. One of the worst drinks I’ve ever paid $11 for in my life. Our server was jovial and she showed up and was clearly understaffed and the kitchen was the main issue. I didn’t take it out on her or her tip. $98.97 for our meals. This place is also a bowling alley so I get the vibe that they are a bowling alley that serves food and not a food establishment with a bowling alley. My guess….beer is the only thing on the menu worth a second trip for.
Terribly understaffed lead to ZERO service. Product we tried was good..1 bartender 1 server at noon. Out of first two beers we tried to order.. big disappointment. Cool spot.. vibe was good..
My family and I have gone here plenty of times. We keep going back for the good drinks. The service is always slow. Eat before you bowl or after don't waste your lane time. If you want to bowl, get the Groupon don't pay their price. You can use 2 groupon per group per visit. They limit 6 people to a lane. The food is nothing special I typically skip the meal and just order deep fried oreos with Vanilla ice cream. My favorite drink is the purple haze martini. The bathrooms are gross and struggle to lock. There is even a breathalyzer in the hall next to them. Ypu can get some of their beers to go in 6 packs or growlers. My husband enjoys the sound of freedom, but they always soon. to be "out for the night" Keep the growler bottle and get it refilled as there is a deposit.
I had the amazing opportunity of bringing one of, if not the finest woman in the Southwest here this past weekend. The layout was pretty simple to figure out and you have to get everything from the front check in desk. The Waitress we had which I wish I could remember her name was AMAZING and for being first timers, she made it an amazing experience. We went around 11ish and everything was wide open. The sitting down diner part of the place was packed but bowling and the games were WIDE OPEN ??!!!Food was terrific and the atmosphere was one of a kind!!Thank you all for an awesome experience ? ???
We were sat at a dirty table. When asked staff to wipe it off they were upset and acted like it was an inconvenience. She then came back, wiped 3/4 of the table off, and left it soaking wet, and 1/4 still dirty. We then had to ask another for some napkins to dry it off. We then ordered 2 beers and hummus app. The beers came in about 5 min and then the hummus came. We had no napkins, silverware, or plates. We again asked for them and we received 2 plates, 2 small napkins, and no silverware. The hummus was bland and tasted like they used mayo in it. After waiting another 25 min, we had still not been able to place an order for dinner, so we finished our beers and left cash to cover the bill. One of the worst dining/service experiences I've had.
