The atmosphere was cool. Food alright had the Italian combo 2 people. Pretty steep price not gonna lie . Steak part could be better the sausage carried the sandwich.
SCAM LIKELY: Most def the worst sandwich Ive had all year (and I'm being nice). 2 #5s AND MORE THAN $30 LATER.... one was supposed to be with onion rings and sweet tea and the other wIth fries and unsweet tea AND IT WAS TWO COLD FRIES AND TWO UNSWEET TEAS (order taker who also took payment did not enter info correctly but pretended to). Sandwich was dry. BTW, Hot pepper slice? LAME.... This place is not good. If someone from the midwest tells you that about this location they are lying, dont waste your time or money. This business deserves to fail.
This place was above average. The food was good and fresh, the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was comfortable. The double cheeseburger was a great size. The maxwell street dog was w a polish dog. We also ordered, fries, onion rings, a large drink and a plain hot dog. The total came out to $30-ish. We would eat here again.
The whole experience was just okay. I mean the food was good, but not something I would come back for. Maybe I came on a bad day. I really wanted to like this place. Mostly writing this review to remind myself because I will forget I ate here, that is how easily forgettable I felt about this place. Double check your order they are dropping the ball. Been here many times with no problems. Tonight I ordered a double cheeseburger and paid for a double cheeseburger. As you can see from the photo there is no cheese. Very disappointed they where not even busy (so no excuses) and too quick getting food out without making sure it is correct.
Tasty Chicago style hot dogs and Italian beef. Recommend both. If you get a beef get it dipped. It will be messy but or so good. If you like spicy food, get the hot Giardinara. Chocolate cake for dessert is a classic.
I usually like Portillo’s but I ordered the wrong thing.I got a regular hot dog and it was okay. I wish I got the polish sausage next time.I do like their chicken sandwiches too.
Portillo's got it right! Fresh food made to order. Always yummy. Reminds me of Chicago food. Best Italian beef in AZ! Great burgers too. And the chocolate cake is so good. Restaurant is always clean and employees are friendly
The food was Capital E Excellent but sadly the service didn't rank as high. I would have given 5 stars if the service was at least descent. It was clean and organized but the bathroom was closed for cleaning but no one was cleaning them. I did go an hour before they were closing so I think they were all ready to just go home and it showed in their performances. The cashier was good, I can't say the same for the rest of the employees.
