We have loved Don Rubens for many years. When our daughters graduated and it was time to throw a party, we knew we wanted the food to be from here. It was a HUGE hit and everyone was asking who catered the party. Everything was super delicious. It was ready on time and the prices were super good. The workers were so nice and helpful and called to confirm everything a day or so prior to the party. Highly recommend their party platters. We had around 60 people at the party and ordered 3 chicken and 3 beef platters and 2 enchilada platters, 1 rice and 1 beans. 4 bags of chips and salsa. It was PLENTY and we even had a bit left over to enjoy the next day. ? 10/10 recommend them for your events.. not one person didn't enjoy it. Thank you Don Rubens!! You guys are amazing and the food is delicious. Happy to be a lifelong customer. Also I wanted to add... I saw a few bad reviews because of the closing time not matching up when they called. You do realize that unless it's on their official website, Google and such are crowd-sourced.. right?! I own a business and if you Google it, the hours are wrong. I've changed it multiple times but they always get changed again. So sometimes it's NOT the businesses fault. Also, you have to remember covid messing up many business hours as well. Have some grace. At the end of the day they are a family business that serve amazing food with a great attitude. THATS what matters. Delicious Mexican pizza with shredded beef. Tons of flavor and a crispy crust. The chips and salsa were great too, especially mixing the regular and spicy salsas together. We also had a bean tostada, chicken enchilada, and a beef taco. All of those were delicious too, but the Mexican pizza was by far the tastiest item we ordered. I will definitely be back again.
Don Ruben's is my my families favorite go to for Mexican Food. We each have our special dish that we always order. The atmosphere is amazing and super nice staff. We often order to go and I love that they know my name when I come in.
Very good! Salsa is great. Bloody Mary on point except they ran out of mix after my first one. Spinach enchilada was wonderful. My only complaint is the refried beans. They seem canned instead of home made. I know this because I despise canned refried beans and I make my own home made and kn9w the difference ? other than that food is delicious.

Great food but horrible customer service. I keep giving them another and another try and they continuous mess it up. 4th time today they messed it up so really I just need to find another place is sad cause they do have good food but it isn’t worth it when you have to deal with the girls at the front not doing things right so sad.
Overall good experience and food. The price was decent for what you get. Portion sizes are good as well as taste. There was little wait although they were somewhat busy and the staff was friendly and fast. Food took a little time to get out but was very good. The chili reno was a bit cheesey for me but the flavor and freshness was perfect. The rice and beans were good too. The shredded beef was a bit over cooked and the shrimp enchiladas were soggy. That said the flavors were still good. We would recommend if you are looking for a quick bite at a decent price for good taste. Stick to the basics and you will be happy.

Been going there for years. Usually a great experience. Things have changed. Got the carnitas plate for dinner $15.75. When it arrived it looked like there was hardly any pork mixed in with a lot more onions and peppers. Decided not to touch it but take it home and separate it all out to see how little there was. Just like I thought. Only 3.8 oz. of meat! Less than 1/4 pound of meat and 5 oz of onions and peppers. And it was real stringy and thin, no good size pieces. That's pathetic with a price of $15.75. You also get rice and beans whoopee! The server was great, super quick on refills of chips/ salsa/ water. Salsa not as good as usual. Prices much higher like everyone else.
The hot salsa, fresh chips, and red chili burros are classic Sonoran style comfort food. The margaritas are also consistently on point. The service is also always friendly. My favorite place for Mexican comfort food.
