By far the best Thai food I have had in a long time. The yellow curry is excellent as well as their other dishes. Great customer service!
I don’t understand the decent rating. I’ve lived in Thailand twice and was married to a Thai woman for 4 years. I’m also from one of the most Asian influenced cities in the US and have tried Thai food from over 100s of restaurants. I’ve seen it all from ketchup to broccoli and carrots in my Phad Thai. But never has the food tasted as bland as it was coming from Ta Lew. The food looked great but tasted very plain, the Phad Thai had a flight sour taste to it and the yellow curry was so runny it was like a soup. The curry was so low in flavor that I ate the curry and rice at a soupy consistency. Never have I ever seen Thai food this bland. I know my food, I’ve traveled extensively and have been around for many years. Japanese food although delicious maybe bland compared to Thai or Indian food, but Thai food is not like what I received today. I would not go again.
I love that it is take out because then I don't have to spend an exorbitant amount of time and tip if it was at a sit down restaurant. They are very friendly and great customer service! The food is BEYOND amazing!
Family owned to-go restaurant. Few tables to sit around while you wait for your order. Friendly staff and prompt response. Call ahead for your order to pick up. Panang curry and Pad thai are good. Taste is definitely good but the price is above average comapred to restaurants around. Defintely at higher price point for a to-go place with no dine-in service.
Best Thai food in the valley!!! The family that owns it is so friendly. The food is so delicious. Will not leave you feeling sick but filled and nourished! Thank you! ?
What a wonderful Thai restaurant! I really do enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance. The food is really tasty. The employees are very attentive make sure your drinks are filled consistently with great service.They pay attention to detail. I will definitely return here.
The menu looks good. The location is nice. The prices seem ok.But this place is a big fail for lunch.That's right- as a lunch option, this is a bust. No place to sit and eat. Take out only. Most places are passed this and have made proper precautions to be safe and handle customers in location now. This restaurant is located in a busy lunch district, but they are basically telling people "don't come here".When you are working and ready to go to lunch, you don't want to drive somewhere, order, wait and pick up food, only to have to drive back to your office. Then the food is cold, you've wasted time and you have the mess to deal with.If you are going to be open for lunch, add some tables and let people eat on site. Otherwise, just keep your hours to dinner when people want takeout at home.
The rating of 4.6 also made us go half an hour out of our way, like others mentioned in their reviews. The Shrimp Pad Thai is very dry and tasteless. We ordered peanut sauce on the side. I don’t taste peanuts at all in this sauce. It tasted like coconut milk. Prices are high for what we got. Very disappointing all around, sorry to say.
I went in for lunch and it says it 9.95 for lunch chicken Thai basil and she said they changed it, but the website isn’t up to date. Then they want to charge 2.50 Extra for brown rice. So the total would’ve came to 16.50 for spicy Thai basil no thanks! I will be reporting to better business bureau as they should honor price it says online. If you look below the website shows this. They were trying to charge 14 plus 2.50 extra when the meal already comes with white. As a business owner for weights and measure they should’ve honored the price. But we left I willStick to Thai plates on power and Broadway!!
This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Gilbert. I highly recommend the yellow curry, and pineapple fried rice! Also, the owners are great people and remember me by name when I walk through the door. Great food!
