Food looked great, but we stood in the door way for 15 minutes while staff looked at us like we were crazy…. Host mom walks in right after and sat down at the table we watched empty for the 15 min. Maybe great food but bad staff.
Last night my wife and I had a dinner reservation for our anniversary at Sushiya. When we arrived there were people waiting both inside and outside. Because we had a reservation, we were immediately taken to our table.The service was great, and the food was excellent.I recommend Sushiya for a great Japanese dinner.Thank you to Song and staff.Ron Klose
I love Japanese food, even though I don't eat raw seafood for health reasons. They have a wide variety of items that you can choose from that are absolutely delicious. The restaurant even did an adaptive cooking class for my students. The restaurant is very community minded and hold lots of fundraisers throughout the year for various organizations.

Your sushi is great, your service is TERRIBLE. Every other time I call for takeout, you disconnect me (someone legit answered and hung up on me). When I came in to order in person, I had to wait for your staff to finish talking to literally the ONLY table seated 15 mins before close. For a better experience, try Kodo just south on Gilbert Rd or YANAGI SUSHI on Cooper and Warner, or Sushi San at Mcqueen and Warner. Also, putting my money where my mouth is, see attached photos.
Nice small place. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had two rolls and was happy with what I got.

I ordered to go but had a quick appetizer while I waited. The girls serving were so attentive and sweet! You don't see this often in restaurants anymore. Very kind hearted, and providing service with a genuine smile. Joe, James, and Jason were the sushi chefs. Awesome characters! It was my first time sitting alone at the sushi bar and I will 100% come here again. The food I took home was amazing, even after I left, pumped gas, and then got home, the miso soup was still very hot. Perfect to serve. I'm so happy this place is only a few blocks from my house.
