Awesome food and super relaxing environment. Staff were extremely friendly. Tried 4 different sushi rolls and can't wait to try more. Would highly recommend!!
We just had an absolutely brilliant experience at Sushi Rock & Grill.I want to start by really celebrating the service which is top notch. I don't say this lightly, but it's "wow" level service without being flashy. They take really good care of you. At one point I clumbsily dropped one of my chopsticks and the young lady at the front noticed, stopped what she was doing, and had already brought me a fresh pair before I even had time to laugh at myself. Our server was wonderful. Very kind, very fast, and very attentive. At one point they perceived that we had waited too long to get our drinks and ended up comping us miso soup and some gyoza to make up for a problem we didn't even think of as a problem. Like I said, this is top notch service.Now to the food... it was REALLY good. I'm a big sushi eater and have had quite a lot of sushi across Arizona. I think the combination of price, quality, and proportions (generous sushi filling without padding it with too much rice) can't be beat. I loved my Arizona roll which had really balanced texture and flavors. Honestly I wish I ordered a second one because my mouth is watering just thinking about it.You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't go try this place out. We just moved to the area and I can tell you I'll absolutely be back because I need to try more of this menu.Bravo.P.S. we noticed another review said there is no alcohol here but that doesn't seem to be true as of the time of my review. I got an ice cold Kirin to round out my fabulous meal.
The staff here were friendly and sweet and my mom and I enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. We came on a Wednesday night, it was busy, but we didn’t wait long. We ordered salmon sashimi, the hot night specialty roll, chicken katsu, and the seafood dynamite. In addition, we also ordered edamame and gyoza to start off (not pictured). I enjoyed the edamame and the gyoza was crispy and tasty! The salmon sashimi was fresh and the hot night roll was just the right amount of spice for me! I love how they put eel sauce and spicy mayo on this, it really adds to the flavor! The chicken katsu came in a generous portion size that we enjoyed and the seafood dynamite was a dish that we've never had before, but it was a tasty surprise. My favorite dish was definitely the hot night roll! I would recommend this place and we will be coming back for more!
Came because of the 4.8 ⭐️ rating and the pics looked amazing.Ordered tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and eel nigiri. There was way too much rice, which also had a strange, kind of mushy consistency. They were also missing the wasabi in the middle.Also ordered the Arizona Roll since it was mentioned in a few reviews. We (husband & I) gave it a 6/10.The Las Vegas Roll had too much rice.The Creamy Albacore Roll was just weird and was sent back.The service was amazing. They were packed but were very attentive. When the food took a while to come out they brought us free cream cheese wontons which were good.Overall the food was blah. Wonderful serving Staff, they’re knowledgeable, responsive, clean, and work well as a team. The place is clean and well kept which let’s face it, alot of sushi stops are not. The menu is straight forward, they have great entree and appetizer happy hour specials. The fish is fresh and the soups are solid. The kids meal bento is also a great deal and I’ve been there frequently and never have had a bad experience. Well done and a refreshing restaurant add to South Gilbert.
OMG so good! I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures. The only down side was the wait for a table because it's a small place, but well worth it! The staff is super friendly, efficient, FAST, and well trained. I expected the prep of the food to take a while, but it was served so fast. It was delicious!
Second time here and it’s our favorite sushi place in the east valley! Awesome interior decor and the service has been fantastic both times! Highly recommend you try this sushi place out!
experience was great! prices were affordable and definitely “cheap” for how amazing the food was. the waiters were very nice and helpful, and always made sure you had the desired experience. wasn’t in a great mood entering but left with a big smile on my face! if i could give more stars, i definitely would!
Excellent local sushi spot! Most of the places I've tried in the area have not been good. The fish is good quality, the place is spotless and the staff are very nice and efficient. They have FRESH wasabi!
Along with the majority of the other reviews, this place is absolutely delicious! We had the Spicy Kani Salad (add mango!), Tiger Roll, Vegas Roll, Lobster Dynamite and the Blossom. Every single one was amazing! Highly recommend going here! Definitely will be back!!
