Came to Sushi Avenue and tried their sushi and the fried jalapeños. I was so impressed! Best quality sushi I have found in Arizona and it wasn’t overpriced. The Salmon Holic roll was my favorite, I will definitely be back for it!!
I haven't found a good sushi place here in AZ. We usually do sushi in California. I must say this place didn't disappoint I placed a phone order my wife picked up the food. We actually got some rolls at the happy hour price, which I thought was great. Long story short I'm definitely going back for dine in soon and looking forward to taking advantage of the happy hour it was good. I found a sushi place in AZ no need to wait for our family trips to California to have good sushi
Good selection of sushi offerings with strange names such as "no leftover" which is good salmon based sushi. There's a good selection of sake and other drinks.
Me and the girlfriend love this place. Have been here twice now and enjoyed the food and service both times. Prices are fair with their all day happy hour and you won't be disappointed with the sushi. Inside is clean, relatively small, but has a nice feel. It's a fun place to go with some friends or for a more casual date night. We got the Rainbow, Red Boy, Salmon Tempura, and Double Spicy rolls and an order of the potstickers. All of them were very tasty but the double spicy rolls were next level good. Definitely will be returning here for more sushi soon. The staff is friendly and quick, plus the sushi is made right there behind a counter so it comes out quick and fresh.
Great place. I don’t know much about sushi but I found this place delicious. A small and homely restaurant. The service is better than any place I’ve been to in the past month and employees are attentive and able to help without having to be asked.
Staff was very preoccupied with to go orders and barely acknowledged people coming for dine in. We waited awhile to have menus brought, and then waited longer for order to be taken. Guys making the sushi were quick and most of it was really good. Unfortunately the tempura roll was burnt black on both ends though. Not the worst sushi place but there are many better options close by so won't be back.
Honestly, piss poor service. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I got there close to 6:00 pm on a Wednesday to dine in. It was fairly busy, but I was told the wait would be about 15 minutes so I put my info down for a table for 3 and waited outside since there isn't much waiting space inside. There was only one couple ahead of me. Our group ended up waiting almost 45 minutes after the couple got seated PLUS another couple AND another group of 3. When I went in to ask if my table was ready, all the hostess said was "I was just about to call you. Your table is in the back to the left." No apology and she did not walk us back with any menus. When we did finally get our menus, our waiter was quick to take our drink order and bring them out, but that was about it. He walked by multiple times without so much a glance in our direction and the hostess ended up taking our order. After our food came out, our waiter did not check in on us once to ask us how we were doing, if we needed anything else or to even refill our waters. We even ended up having to go up to the front to pay. The food was pretty decent, but because of how bad the service was, I will not be returning and 100/10 do not recommend.
Jane did an amazing job. This place did fantastic on every front every plate we had was delicious. Our new favorite sushi spot! Yum!
An excellent place to get sushi. The space is well-lit, clean, and attractive. The staff was friendly, helpful (we had our server pick one of our rolls and it was great!) and prompt. The food was great! We ordered the Arizona roll, Hottie Roll, salmon tempura roll, and spicy crab tempura roll. All were excellent. The Arizona roll is a big, spicy, busy mouthful, which is my preference but not everyone’s.Bathrooms were clean, everything was great. Literally nothing bad to say about our experience here. It’s not easy to find good sushi in the east valley (at least according to our experience) but we will for SURE come back here for more yummy sushi.
Love sushi ave! Found this place after hearing a couple recommendations and now it’s my frequent sushi spot. Their happy hour menu is large and has discounted rolls of their main menu. Miso soup and entrees are also good! Try the Arizona roll or the dynamite roll (that comes out on fire)!
