The ziti vodka pizza is just delicious!
I don’t know what it is but from the first step you take in to the last step you take out… every single thing in there is amazing. The staff, super nice and quick. The food, delicious! The bathrooms, sparkly as can be. We enjoy our first time there. Amy took very good care of us. Welcomed us and recommended a few options. We cannot wait to go again. We appreciate the welcoming vibe in there. We came in 25 minutes before close and they still served everything with a smile. It was a last minute option for us but we appreciate you guys for not making us feel like we had to leave right away. We enjoyed our food and still finished a few minutes before closing. We will be back!
Great food. Must get the rice ball. The baked ziti pizza is also one of my favorites.
Have been going to Sal's Gilbert for 2 years. Loved this place for its pizza and wings. However, things are going downhill lately at least my last 3 visits. Pizza was burned, wings were soft, under cooked and very light on sauce.Calamari was not fried long enough, soggy not crisp.Update: Grace Cuffaro, the owner, reached out to me and mad every effort to make thing good again. I will give them 5 stars as they have always been the best in the Valley! See the photo on the right.
We've been in AZ for five months now and this has been the best pizza so far. You could actually taste the tomato sauce and it was excellent. Appetizers were great and not only was the staff exceptional but it waiter, Robert, may have been the best waiter we've ever had. We're very much looking forward to going back to Sal's.
We got a custom Hawaiian pizza, a White pizza, and chicken wings with honey sauce. They were all very good. The pizzas are a bit pricey. The garlic knots with mozarella were alright.
As seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, tried their Baked Ziti Pizza... I'm more of a traditional pizza lover so was a little skeptical but it was really good! I highly recommend it.
Have been coming here for years and have always loved everything. Had some friends come visit from NY, where Sal came from, after bragging about it for years. Ordered a calamari appetizer and we received 14 rings of calamari for $12. The looks on my friends faces was embarrassing. I could tell that no one wanted to take a piece as it was a ridiculous size for one person let alone to share. I understand the whole inflation issue but either raise the price or take it off the menu.
Service is awful, super slow and overpriced. They give you a wait time of 1 hour 20 minutes and then they make you wait 35 minutes more without so much as an apology or thanks for your patience. They don't even give you a salad with an entree anymore, but they are happy to charge you an additional $3.00 if you want one. So sad Casanova Brothers closed. Sals couldn't hold a candle to them. Will never come back here again.
Great service and food, can't ask for anything more!! ?Our waitress was Robert and was really nice.
