Tatum was absolutely amazing!!! This place is always busy, for obvious reasons. Stellar service and the best ice cream spot in downtown Gilbert. Line out the door and Tatum kept that smile on her face and provided amazing service to all. I highly recommend Tatum and Petersen's Ice Cream and Cafe.
If it wasn't for the people working their who were nice and did offer good service, probably would have given it a 1 star, went there based on the posted pictures of all the custom ice cream and the one picture of their menu, it is not that way anymore, pretty much down to either a waffle cone or paper cup and choice of scoops of ice cream, they did not have any of the items on the menu that is in one of the pictures on google. Pretty disappointed as l was looking forward to a banana split or one of those chocolate chip cookie or donut ice cream sandwiches. At this point it is a regular run of the mill ice cream shop, would have been better off going to Baskin Robins.
Good ice cream ?. A bit pricey for the amount received.
My hubby and I came here tonight and the wait was worth it. We got to see one of the workers make their homemade waffle cones, not to mention the smell was incredible. It’s a busy place but the ice cream and cones do not disappoint! Very friendly service as well.

Great little ice cream shop in cute little town full of shopping. Two young ladies working very hard to please the customers with samples and nice sized scoops of ice cream- DELICIOUS ? flavors! Definitely worth the trip!
Absolutely delicious! The flavors are delightful. Went on a Friday night so it was pretty crowded but well worth the wait. And the staff was still cheerful and accommodating even with so many people to serve. Matt was our server he was super helpful and had great recommendations.
Kid friendly! Great ice cream! Great customer service! Love the decorations and giant ice cream cones outside! The atmosphere of downtown Gilbert just adds to the experience!
Just a cute little ice-cream shop. The root bear float was just that, a bottle of root bear and some vanilla ice-cream. My mother's mint chocolate chip had some bitterness to it, but every mint chocolate ice-cream is a bit different, so that isn't a downside.All in all its just average... but in a good way.
