First time going, the service was awesome and very nice ambience!We did notice a little bug flying around us which was very annoying, then it turned into three little bugs flying around the whole time. They looked like fruit flies? We were sitting in the dining room which on the other side of the half open bar to the outside and inside. The restrooms just felt dirty, and the girls restroom reeked of sewer. But I think that's just all the bathrooms at this mall.The food was just okay, it wasn't terrible and wasn't amazing. The only dish that was really good was the spicy shrimp tempura. Very flavorful. Everything else was just meh. The spicy chicken stir fry was very small for the price which was a bit disappointing. It wasn't spicy, actually sweet to me, but I'm just good with spice I suppose.The spicy ribs were tough but my boyfriend still enjoyed it.The sushi is worth it but anything else isn't worth it for the price. The presentation is nice. For sure a place to try out if your curious but I don't see myself coming back unfortunately.
Brook our server was absolutely amazing. It was my brother's birthday and she wanted to make sure everything was just right. The food was delicious ? and the atmosphere was just right. The manager even stopped by to say hello. Give the credit to Brook for being so first rate and professional and please recognize her please do.
I've been wanting to try this place out for while, didn't pass-up the chance to do it this time. It was worth it! Loved the juicy steak and greens; the herbs added to the seasoning, and the flavor was just right! The tomato and basil Soup was perfect! The service took some time to rev-up but made it safe at home. Yeah, overall, glad I was there.
We were here celebrating my partners birthday. The server Monique provided great service but because it was Easter weekend there was a limited menu. Food was good and they gave him a cake because of his birthday. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because there were quite a few gnats or some kind of bugs flying around (we were indoors) and we have to keep swatting them away so they wouldn’t land on our food.
Easter Sunday 2022. I used OpenTable to secure a table at 6 pm. Really did not need to as when my family and I arrived; the place was slow. The hostess fumbled around in the computer. She acknowledged our reservation right away but kept messing around with the computer at the host stand. She went and got two more staff members to help her. After several minutes, we were off to our table.We sat down and looked over the menu. We were excited to try two or three appetizers and some adult beverages before ordering filets. After ten minutes, I got up and went next door to Dog Haus Biergarten. I go their a lot and enjoy it very much. I sat down and got a cold beer straight away. This pleased me greatly, and I conveyed this to the bartender in the form of a large tip.I called my wife, who was still sitting unserved at Kona Grill. I told her to gather up the family and come over as I had obtained a table. It is happy hour all day on Sundays at Dog Haus!!! My family had a great night out.Kona Grill is probably going through staffing issues like everyone else. This does not excuse neglecting customers. My wife and I were dressed nice, and my elderly father had a beat-up Airforce hat on (combat vet 1967) perhaps they judged him poorly? Either way, one of the three staffers who stared into the computer at the beginning of our visit could have taken our drink order. This could have bought time for the server. It also would have helped keep our attention.
One of my favorite places ❤️ went with friends and ordered calamari and shrimp for appetizers it was amazing ❤️❤️❤️ and we also ordered sushi also steak and one of our friends ordered chicken and was amazing as well!! So overall everything was just amazing tasting just awesome!! Also the service was great was quick and pleasant.Will define visit again ❤️
Service was horrible, had to ask if tge bartender was new since the Bloody Mary came to the table without any garnish. WAY over priced for what you get and I had a fly in my sake carafe which by the way was $7.00 for a very small ... my spicy tuna roll was maybe an inch and a half in diameter 8 pieces but cost $14.00 never coming here again. Recommend Rock Lobster in Chandler... we were headed there but I figured let's stay closer to home... never ever again

I have been going to Kona Grill for many years. I always make it a priority to have dinner when I travel from New Mexico to Arizona. Now that I live in the valley I am enjoying Kona Grill more than ever.The Establishment has a fantastic atmosphere. Their sushi rolls always amazing, their entrees are unlike any I've ever tasted. And not once have I had a complaint about the service!
My wife, 2 kids and myself came here for an early Christmas Dinner (on Christmas) since we are from Idaho and have no family here to spend Christmas. My wife and I both got the Christmas Filet with lobster cream sauce, some sides and we both ordered medium rare.About 50 mins after ordering we get our food and my wife’s is cooked perfectly medium rare and mine is rare beyond rare… they say they will remake it… so about 35 mins later I finally get my plate and mind you our 17 month old and 3 yr old are ready to go… this filet was bleeding all over the plate I knew it was bad.. I cut into it and it was more rare than the first one… So the manager comes up and says she’s sorry she will give us free dessert etc and I told her we don’t have the time to wait our kids and done etc and we told her we aren’t from around here so she convinced be to give them one more shot and it will be out within 10-13 mins.. fine I’ll get you one more shot she comes over about 15 mins after putting the order in and said oh it’s not hear and obviously it’s not she’s like let me go grab it really quick… another 23 mins goes by and my steak finally comes out… Buy this time I even let the steak rest for a bit, and I cut it open and it’s rare as well!Our waitress saw and she’s like the whole bill is completely comped we are sorry and then the manager says no we can comp whole table etc… Finally after talk on g to manager she comped the entire meal which was only $83.I had some bites of my wife’s food and the flavors of everything where AMAZING! IDK after 3 times they couldn’t get my steak right. The asparagus and mashed potatoes and mushrooms where all very tasty.Our waitress was also very attentive and helpful and sorry about our experience etc.We’ve had some other issues with Kona Grill in Idaho but not enough to not give them another chance! I am not sure if I will be back to Kona Grill or not… I wanted to give a one start review based on my experience but the flavors or everything else where amazing so I am giving a 3 stars right now.
