This is our first time here. Went in for the Birrira tacos. Our granddaughter was looking for a place that serve these tacos that also had the Caldo to dip the tacos in. And they did bring out the Caldo.
Paloma tasted like straight salt (to the point it was not drinkable) and margarita was very generic mix. Guacamole looked and tasted artificial, we ended up not getting dinner because we were so disappointed with the apps and drinks. Surprising and disappointing after all the good reviews!
This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had and I eat a lot of Mexican food. There are so many unique dishes outside of tacos, burrito and nachos. The salsa is tasty and the house made habanero sauce is amazing. There is plenty of space so you aren’t crammed in. Our service was great. It is a friendly and inviting atmosphere. I am sure I will be back many times. The have ceviche and aquachile too…which you don’t see at many of the Sonoran restaurants all over Phoenix.
Worst service EVER! My husband and I went to get 6 birria tacos THAT'S IT. We seated ourselves because no one acknowledged we were there. We had to ask where do we order from or do they come to the table. They finally came with a menu. We ordered and waited over an hour for 6 tacos that weren't that great and the waitress only came to the table if we called her over. Then they all were coughing in the kitchen area and before we finished our last taco they handed us the tab like they wanted us to leave. HORRIBLE! I HOPE IT WASN'T BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK! I WOULD HATE TO SAY THEY WERE RACIST WHEN THEY'RE MINORITIES TOO!! WE NORMALLY TIP $20 OR BETTER NO MATTER WHAT THE MEAL PRICE IS BUT THEY GOT $5. We won't be back and we'll definitely spread the word on how bad this place is.
Disappointed in our meals here. According to the reviews the birria tacos were good, so I tried them. The main flavor was char on the tortillas and the consomme had no flavor other than salt. The meat was tender atleast.
This is some of the best Mexican food in the East Valley. The pollo burrito was packed full of flavor, the salsa was delicious, however, the street tacos lacked a bit of flavor.
Another place found by accident and I was pleasantly surprised. TLDR; Will be back... would bring my Mexican wife's family here for a quick bite. The service is friendly and attentive. You seat yourself, so it may not be the fastest service, but this place is all about the food. It seemed to take a while, but it was so worth it. Can definitely tell it is authentic Mexican food. Very flavorful and filling.I had the Tacos Birria (one of my favorite Mexican dishes) and it was very tasty. My wife had the Tripas. She said it had good flavor, just lacking the usual crispness. The Chilaquelas was very crispy tortillas, flavorful chili sauce, and a perfectly executed over easy huevo.Overall, the word 'tasty' is a bit of an understatement- I keep thinking of the gif of Gordon Ramsey saying "f*cking delicious"... because it was. Will definitely be back.
This was my second time eating here. Went to lunch here with my father on a Monday just before the lunch rush. Three tables were taken and by the time we were done most of the tables were taken. Great authentic food. Service was fantastic. The ladies were very friendly and ensured that we were taken care of despite the lunch rush.
The food and drinks were delicious! Plus the service was awesome!
Great food! Huge menu selection. Felt it was authentic and not Tex Mex
