Ended here by word of mouth, one of our party had been here before. Lives up to its name as a cozy little cafe with a European ambiance. Leisurely meal encouraged. The menu has a good selection of Greek entrees,…eggplant, feta, pita, pine nuts etc….but by no means the only cuisine. Beautiful presentation, ample portions. Items I have not seen elsewhere… appetizer spicy lamb potatoes for instance, and my Andalusian baked eggplant with fennel sausage, was excellent! Brought home a German chocolate brownie from another amazing selection of homemade pastries. we drove an hour to get here from casa grande, and it was worth the trip.

We had an eclectic group so tried this restaurant. They had a very large, diverse menu. Our food was good, but some of the ingredients were unusual and although we tried being open minded, but some did not work. Avocado on top of a traditional red sauce pasta dish, for example. We would go back, just perhaps omit so things from our dish when ordering.

Stopped in here after attending a concert at the Hale theater. So glad I did. First off, you are greeted by they host....what a delightful young man. Spent time telling me about the place and even checked in with me a few times during the evening. The waitress was slammed. The after theater crowd hit them hard and she was working alone. But, she was very competent and friendly and quick. You would never know she was as busy as she was. She gave everyone the attention they needed. I ordered the Goat Shrimp. There is no goat in this dish. It is shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and sun dried tomatoes. It is over a bed of pasta with vegetables. Too die for. The shrimp are huge. I can't imaging anyone could eat this dish in one sitting. It came with a salad. I had it with the house dressing which is a goat cheese blend. I was in heaven. The only drawback to the evening was the wife of the owner. Even though the restaurant was full and the poor waitress (and I'm sure the kitchen staff) were killing themselves, she sat with friends and chatted all evening. She pulled up a chair at their table and brought over a bottle of wine to drink with them. It would have been nice to see her pay attention to some of the other guests and helping out before she spent the dinner hour with her friends.

After a long absence, we went on a Thursday night and had a delicious meal. This is Euro Cafe's 30th anniversary year. One of us ordered the Baked Andalusian Eggplant and the other had a BBQ chicken sandwich. When we were seated at 5:45 PM, there were only a few other people. We concluded our dinner by 6:45 PM. We were not rushed, but we eat fast and don't linger after dinner. Service is still limited to one server and a hostess that also helps out. While we there, service was fine. Traditionally, Euro Cafe has never been the place to go for a fast meal. They cook your meal when it is ordered. I consider that a big plus. I ordered one glass of wine, which I didn't like, and they replaced it, no questions, with another wine. We took two of their fabulous desserts home with us. We will be returning with our friends.

Yesterday, wife and I were there for lunch. The place was packed, which is not hard considering the eating area is not very large. Would you believe there was just one person taking the orders, serving the food, ringing up sales, and cleaning the tables? Paige did a fantastic job handling all of this singlehandedly. The food was outstanding, but I have never seen a server worked harder than Paige was. I don't know if this is usual at lunchtime, but there should have been at least another person helping.

An adult, flavorful and sensational meal. The food was fantastic and service has been great too. This is our 3rd time in 60 days and each was fantastic. Not a fast meal because everything is made well and fresh after ordered. Our group had differing tastes ordered and each was extremely happy with the food. Huge portions - can easily share a meal. A new favorite of ours!

If you like Mediterranean food, you will like this place . It’s a sit down dining and it’s very cozy. My daughter ordered a lasagna without reading the ingredientes, and she didn’t like it because it has salami, and hearts of palms in it. I ordered a salad with house dressing ( very good dressing ) I paid 14.00 , in my opinion it was overpriced for the portion I got . The second time I went with my husband, both times, service was slow . My suggestion in order to reduce trash and help the environment is to stop giving plastic straws.

We used to come here, but haven't been for several years because of a poor experience. That time, we had sandwiches that were poorly made -- dry and lacking substance. Not like our initial experiences. Very disappointing. Since then, several places have popped up in Gilbert right across the street, like Zinburger and Postino's -- competition! We came back this week because we went to Ahi Revolving Sushi and were horrified by the place -- no outside lights (cutting costs?), only one server and only one cook, total of 4 tables filled. Table rocks back and forth. That's another story. This time at Romeo's, we both ordered salads. My wife had the Greek Salad. In her books, a Greek Salad is not Greek without garlic and olives. This one had neither. It was filled with lettuce, tomato wedges and feta cheese. She found it hard to eat. Fell below expectations. Not authentic -- so please don't call it authentic! I had the salmon salad. Fair size piece of salmon, but overcooked and drying out. Takes deft skill to properly execute salmon outside of a sushi/sashimi setting. This cook/chef does not have it. Would have been better with a crusty skin, but that was not present either. Probably can't do it right. The seasoning was also uneven -- tasteless on one half, while the half was loaded with salt, almost to the point of being inedible. Very poor execution. The rest of the salad was not bad -- lettuce, pimentos, capers, tomatoes and raw mushrooms. But for a total of $35 ot so, this was not worth it. The service was slow and haphazard, despite the place only half-filled to start with. Then they had the 3rd Tuesday of the month crowd and that packed it in. From that point onward, the service was absent. Nobody came back to check on us, to see if we were enjoying the meal. To top it off, one or more of the staff (chef himself and wife?) were dining with a large group on the 3rd Tuesday 3-course dinner. Totally detracted from the experience for us. I've never seen a staff member eating with a group while dinner service was on, leaving the rest of the restaurant to its own. We will probably never return unless we were invited to on someone else's tab.

OMG, does it get any better? I just posted on Facebook.... Skip Granger is with Mary Ann Granger and Trey Granger. A delicious dinner at one of our favorite restaurants... Romeo Taus has his fabulous EuroCafe in Gilbert. Generous portions of tasty foods and good wines served by fun and knowledgeable people like Annabelle. Trey introduced us to this super find. Give it a try!

One of my favorite restaurants in the Valley of the Sun. The menu is extensive with a combo of Greek/Italian. Small, intimate, with a great concern for quality food. Recommend without reservations.
