First time in and the place has amazing charm and desire to be a great BBQ place!! The smokers are truly amazing. Now I ordered the turkey sandwich, hands down five stars real good smoked BBQ.The twist here is they want to toss some Mexican into the mix and the brisket birria tacos I gave three stars. Now they where extremely oily but very goodLast but not least there was the smoked carnitas taco’s. Total miss!! Fail on all accords here zero stars the wife but into one and could not even keep it down.So overall score three stars, stay with the BBQ and you guys will crush it!! Keep the smokers blowing all the time and people will come from miles alone for the smell.I’ll Be back for the turkey.Ohh and grab the bottle root beer !!

I’m a huge Caldwell’s BBQ fan and have long felt AZ needs more Mexican/BBQ fusion. The do a great job of incorporating their smoked meats into traditional dishes. The brisket tostada was full of flavor, tough to eat with your hands but a lot of deliciousness. The tacos have a dipping sauce that adds moisture and flavor. The Mexican Twinkie is a really a smoked Jalapeño popper, tasty bite for sure. We also have enjoyed their green chili burrito and love the unique flavors. Be sure to consider their outdoor seating, they have misting fans that make it comfortable even on hot days. We will be back for sure.

Some great things and some not so great things. Hubby and I hit up Mexi-Q last Thursday. We're fans of Caldwell County BBQ and so we were looking forward to trying out this off-shoot of theirs. We brought our dog and the folks at Mexi-Q welcomed our dog on their outdoor patio. They've got fantastic misters and fans scattered throughout the patio, so it was quite comfortable. They even brought us out a nice dish with cold water for our dog.We ordered a few tacos, the potato salad, one jalepeno popper, and street corn dish. The service was fantastic! We both really liked the barria taco and the sauce to dip it in was super tasty. And we both LOVED the corn dish - it's a cross between Mexican street corn, and creamed corn. Absolutely delish. However, visitors should be aware that EVERYTHING come with lots and lots of diced raw white onion. As I am not a fan of diced raw white onion, I spent a lot of time picking it off things, and didn't eat much of the potato salad because it was filled with onions. Seriously a ton of white onions.Next time we come, we'll have to specify no onions. Also, it was a bit pricey - our meal was over $50.

I like the original Caldwells on power way better. It’s too hot to eat outside on their patio and they only have one table inside. The inside is extreme small and cramped , you bump into people using the soda machine , very cramped.I expected the tacos to be brisket , it’s shredded beef and just okay , nothing spectacularIt’s clean and probably be a better choice to come here when the weather is nice enough to eat outside and stick w their brisketAs a side note Caldwells Bbq on Power is the best in the valley

I don't even know how to describe the crazy flavors these folks forced into a corn tortilla, but man it is sooooo good. To top it off the people that make and serve the food are some genuinely nice humans!! If this place had horchata with free refills I'd be there everyday. Instead I'll set a goal for once a week. Try the Mac and Chez!!!

Amazing food every time and the portions I expect when I order a plate of BBQ. Love this place!

Amazing food, excellent customer service. My son has a reaction to gluten and they were very knowledgeable. Changed gloves to prepare his meat without me even asking. Highly recommend!!

Sorry most of you will probably never see this because Google won't publish me. This is probably some of the best Mexican barbecue I've ever had. The meat was so tender it was unbelievable. Pork, brisket and and they got bacon jalapeno wraps that will knock your socks off. Great tacos didn't need anything there that tasted bad. Got their own house sauce that tastes great, Had some friends take me there that go after the market every Saturday like clock work.

We will always love Caldwell. The food is great. Service is fast. And prices are fair. Their indoor seating is small but the patio is roomy and spread out.

This is the real deal. Mexi-Q delivers on its promised fusion of BBQ and Mexican in a fresh and delicious way.We had the Mexican Twinkie (bacon-wrapped stuffed pepper, elote, burrito, and birria taco. Every bite made me want more. We'll be back.Inside seating is available but limited. There's quite a bit more outside on benches.
