I've been in Az. since '84. I cant tell you how many times I was told that a certain place had pizza just like N.Y. Always disappointed. One day I was leaving Fox cigars and decided to walk in and check it out. FINALLY !!! After all these years I found not only pizza, but Italian food just like back home. It truly is the best pizza in Az. The owners make you feel like you're back in your old pizza joint. Everyone is very warm and friendly. And to make things even better, they have Drakes cakes. But they go fast. With everything I just stated about Buonos, the great thing it's right around the corner from my house. Just like back home. Thank you guys!! You've made all the N.Y.ers and many others from saving a trip back home.
Buono’s has been a favorite in our family for quite some time. My husband has been coming here long before he knew me (at the old location) and has made me, his family, and our kids huge lovers of their pizza for the past decade or more! We’ve been so thrilled that they’re back and closer to us now! We would have never known honestly but happened to drive by one day and recognized the sign immediately! Definitely had to show some love and leave a review. Best NY pizza in the state by far! My husband and I love trying all types of food, especially pizza and nothing compares. Definitely have to eat in house though so it’s fresh and hot. Slices reheat really well in the oven at home though too so we always size up so we have extra to take home for the next day. Also their honey hot wings are probably my favorite wings out of any place I’ve been. They’re perfectly flavored and crispy without being over cooked and dry!
Buenos is our favorite place for thin crust pizza. We typically get the lunch special, two slices and a drink. I like to add either sausage or meatball to my slices but my wife likes it just plain cheese. We both agree that the cheese is very flavorful, the crust is salted nicely and has the perfect "crunch" to it. I also think the meatball and sausage is very flavorful and fresh.My wife also really likes to get zeppoles to go.

My daughter was getting her nails done next door and I saw this place and checked the reviews. Born and raised in Jersey 30 minutes from the city and this pizza is one of the closest I found to back home. A little grease which was perfect, the cheese and sauce just right and a great crunch on the crust. And is light not heavy at all. I found my new pizza place.
My mom and I had the most delicious lunch the calamari first than pasta with clams it was amazing I took 2 cannolis to go and they were the best I ever had !!
The best place for a real (non chain) NYC slice. If you looking for classic NYC style pizza and and all of the expected side dishes, Buonos is exactly what your looking for, with the flair of a little local shop. If you grew up on the east coast their pizza tastes exactly like what you remember growing up. They have all the sides too, from antipasta (with meat and cheese roses) to cookies, subs, and even my personal hard to find favorite pizza side, fried mushrooms! (If you like mushrooms and fried food try them now and thank me later)It is a family owned buisness and the staff and owners are super friendly. The first time I went there there was an issue with my order, but I called in and they did right by me, which is more then you can expect at some places these days.Would whole heartedly recommend for the best chance to eat that pizza that tastes like 10 year old you knows that pizza should taste like.
I carried out so can't do an apple to apple comparison as if I had ate in. The food did survive the trip, but everyone knows it's just not the same as eating in.Had a slice of pepperoni and it was a good NY slice, which is hard to find here - NYPD... sorry, not sorry.I also ordered Philly cheese steaks and was pleasantly surprised. I do like Philly cheese steaks with the diced beef and Cheese Whiz, but spending 12yrs in Chicago before moving here I developed a great fondness for what we would call a Cheesy Beef - beef, oven baked with mozzarella to perfection on an incredible bun. This is what we got here and it was great, so a pleasant surprise!Got to chat with the owner while I waited for the food to be made. Great, old-school, down to earth, doesn't suffer fools lightly, Italian gentleman. Clean restaurant and good family oriented environment.We will be frequenting often.
Much deserved 5 star rating here! The food was absolutely delicious; served hot, and the service was outstanding too. We drove a half hour to get here and it was totally worth it. Our 10 year old daughter says (her words), "It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and the meat sauce had a delicious flavor." She even loved the fresh garden salad that accompanied her spaghetti. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the calzone is the best I've had since leaving the East Coast. We highly recommend Buonos and the only negative thing we can say about our entire experience is that we wish there was one closer to where we live. Thank you Shelley, Dylan and eveyone at Buonos!!
My husband and I found this gem located at The Forum in Gilbert, AZ. Love the staff and the old school feel of the local pizzerias from back home in NY. My favorite is the sausage hero. Haven't had one of those since Brooklyn. The canolis are yummy too!
