This was our second time here. Last we tried this place when they had just opened. It super busy for a Friday evening, 6p. We were waitlisted and seated between 15-20mins. Not that bad! However, when we entered there was hardly any place to walk, felt like a sport bar. The tables were very close to each other, like crammed. The chair were not at all comfortable, the foot rest seemed off. We ordered wine, an appetizer and sushi rolls. None of the sushi rolls were good. Nothing close to other sushi places. I had to keep trying to get the server’s attention for extra ginger. What a bad experience! If you’re a sushi lover, there are better places in the valley to try. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Absolutely fantastic. The staff are very friendly, give great recommendations and get your food to you quickly. The food is superb. We shared the shrimp appetizer which was delicious. The waitress recommended the Chuck Norris roll which was exactly what I was wanting. Their signature roll menu is unique, I haven’t seen some of those combos at other places, and I’m excited to return to try more of them.
We only picked up the food but from the very short interaction we had with staff, we felt so welcomed! Thank you Sophia and Elliot! Food was good and price was reasonable. They have lots of unique rolls too and the name puns were just a plus! ^^ would recommend and would go back again!
I tried ordering on Uber Eats and it was so delicious, I knew I needed to go in person. Hands down, this is probably the best sushi in Arizona. The rice was perfectly cooked, fish sensational quality and flavors are out of this world. The drinks will have your eyes roll behind your head and all the servers are friendly beyond belief. I never thought I'd find a place like this but here it is! I hope they expand around the valley because this is probably my new #1 sushi spot next to Osaka Japanese Steakhouse. If anyone comes here, keep in mind you'll probably have a bill around 100 or so but it's totally worth it! I'll be back many more times!
Second time coming to Blue Wasabi. Both times it’s been a good, casual spot for quick, very good sushi and drinks. It can get a little cramped when busy but don’t let that stop you from going. There is a long list of contemporary and traditional sushi and it’s all been very good. The small plates are also excellent. My favorites are the rockin shrimp and the Genghis Kahn beef!! The have a large list of approximately 20 martinis. They are good, and probably excellent if sweet and fruity is your thing. I do wish they had a few clever cocktails more on the stronger side. All in all Blue Wasabi is excellent for good, quick service with a variety of excellent sushi and apps. Highly recommend the dirty sanchez roll (if you like deep fried rolls), summer lovin’ roll (excellent refreshing roll) and the Gordon gecko roll (more of a traditional style roll with a tiny twist)!
Must have been an off night. Martini’s we’re mostly sugar but very pretty. Service super slow. Meals came out at different times. Sushi was meh. Just ok. Less than a fun experience. There are several great alternatives nearby.
We had a great dinner at Blue Wasabi in Gilbert AZ. We had the Vegas Roll (yummy), Chuck Norris (good), Crusty Crab (good), East LA (FREAKING DELICIOUS), and the Squid Viscious (flavorless). The staff was super fun and friendly. Great customer service.
Their Sushi is fresh and served nicely chilled. They have an awesome selection of Sushi rolls with some excellent combinations. If you're not afraid to try something new and crazy you will not be disappointed!!!
My fiancé and I absolutely love coming here. The food and drinks are great but most of all the employees are fantastic! We always enjoy our date nights here and we have never had a bad experience. We highly recommend this place and the food. 100/100!!
Great spot for cocktails and exotic rolls. One of the best happy hour menus i have come across. Their martinis are really good, two of my favorites are Lemon Raspberry Ice and Lemon Head which I included pictures of. The small plates are scrumptious as well, if you have to pick one definitely try the Drunken BBQ Shrimp. Can't really go wrong with any of the rolls, to me a lot of them seem very similar.
