We went the first time simply because it was near the movie theatre. We keep going back because it's outstanding. The food is fresh...if it takes a little extra time, it's because each order is custom made. Great menu, very good service and clean. A definite keeper.
I have never enjoyed Hawaiian food but was forced to eat here. The location is outstanding and the employees were incredibly helpful. The restaurant areas were the cleanest I have seen in a while. I tried the food and didn't finish it because it appears that I still don't like Hawaiian food. I would definitely recommend Big Island if someone ever forces me to eat Hawaiian food again. It is definitely the best Hawaiian food I have ever eaten.
If you've been to Hawaii this food should remind you of your food experience there. If not, then when you go it will give you an idea of a great tasting opportunity - and a nudge to get on the plane. The portions are very generous and the food is very good quality. We ate lunch there on a weekday and enjoyed every bite. While we were there we noticed a lot of people coming in to pick up takeout orders. We'll definitely be back!!

My husband took me on a lunch date yesterday and we went here. It was fast but the food was delicious. I got the Big Island Fire Chicken bowl and he got the mini BBQ beef platter. Holy cow it was still a lot of food! I had tons of chicken, veggies and rice. He had a huge pile of beef a top a large portion of rice with a side of macaroni salad. We were still stuffed at dinnertime and couldn't even eat. This is a great place to go with fabulous food, a great menu to choose from and reasonable prices! I highly recommend you give it a try!
This is by far our favorite Hawaiian BBQ, they have a pretty standard menu but somehow the flavors are better. Chicken Katsu is always well breaded and delicious, don’t forget the katsu sauce. The chicken combo with bbq and katsu is an awesome combination if you can’t make up your mind. The macaroni salad is also yummy, my wife likes two scoops of in, sub out the rice. The regular size is easily shareable.
Wow! The value here is top notch. At the time of this review prices of food and overall inflation are at record levels, and despite all that, this place still has tremendous value for the dollar.I always know I'm in for a treat when I get my food and the bag feels heavy.We got a mountain of delicious food. I'm not normally a macaroni salad kind of guy, but I loved the stuff here. The chicken katsu and the fish were wonderful.We just moved to this area and I know already this place is going to be one we frequent.
There was SO MUCH FOOD. I couldnt eat it all. Definitely worth the money. Service was super fast. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The best hawaiian in town, hands down! No other spot can compete who cares if they don't have drive thru. The mac and the short ribs are the bangers here.
