The Golden Phoenix at the TeppanFuji Restaurant was a sweet roll that would be ideal as a treat or to help you cool off after a fiery roll. The staff at this place is delightful and professional, which I loved the most. I will highly recommend this place to my friends and family.
We went to this place yesterday and did the whole experience and it was great. We say with another local couple and some guys that were on the other site. The Chef did a great show and the food was done perfectly as ordered. While we try to find new places every time we travel we for sure would come back to this one.
Echoing other reviews, the service here has severely gone downhill. Our server was a rude and inattentive man who seemed like he had better things to do. This used to be my go-to for reasonably priced sushi and Asian fare for years but will no longer be recommending this place. Also, there is no more happy hour, either, which was one of the attractive features of this place. This place won't last long with the higher prices and bad customer service, take your money elsewhere.
Foods good, bad bathrooms. Customer service isn't always great especially if you have to complain. Saw a lady getting yelled at by an employee just because she asked for a remake on sushi. Heard the employee refuse to look at the food, got another employee to back her up, saw him refuse to look at the food. The heard the employee lying to the customer about the guy being the owner then smile and wave at the customer as she left. Then over heard the employee talk bad about her saying she tried to scam for free food an refund. I then ran after the customer asked what's up. Was told bad food make it in with the sushi an just asked for a remake. Not a refund or free food an brought the sushi back for proof on not lying. I looked at the food it did have a spoiled item with the fish. The lady then walked away an put the food in the trash and said the restaurant got good food but the employees don't care about you once you have a complaint. This is true seen this alot, might start looking for a different restaurant if they don't work on these issues.
My fiance and I had dinner here on New years eve. The food was out of this world amazing. Some of the best Japanese food either of us have had in years. We order two soups, sushi, and an udon dish. It was all wonderful, completely beat out any place we've gone in LA.
Our waiter was not friendly, was slow, and you could tell. he could care less to be there. He should think about going into a different profession! The hibachi chef was great. We tip accordingly. Food was excellent. Only improvement I would make is to make sure the Miso soup is served HOT, not lukewarm.
They advertised to be open on Christmas day, so we ordered to pick up via GrubHub. The app gave us the time that it was going to be ready. My husband arrived and the food was never ready, they were very confused and a dozen customers waiting to be seated because they had reservations were very angry. In the end they never gave us the order after 1 hour waiting. My husband came back home tired and mad and with no food :( the hostess was lost, she did not know what to say and actually she was responding something totally different for what my husband had asked to her. Very disappointing, will never order from there again, they have messed up our orders in the past but this is the first one they did not even care about preparing it.
We have been here a few times, always great. Such variety on the rolls. Upon noodles are wonderful.
Made a reservation for 15 but had 18. Even though they didn't have the space they still made it work for us. Thanks you! Always great food!
We love this place. They have best all you can eat sushi buffet. And funny hibachi show.the service was great and fast.the fried rice is the best. I always order To go and eating there.recommend!
