Sat at the sushi bar. Chefs very friendly and were happy to answer my questions. Suggested the spicy tuna poppers and they were fantastic. Great dining experience.

Food was good. Service was horrible. I got my food (just one sushi roll) after everyone at my table was already done eating, and we had empty water glasses for most of our meal even though it seemed there were about as many servers as tables. Water glasses would be empty and we wouldn't see the waitress again for 30+ minutes, and then upon asking for water it took another 5-10. I prefer the atmosphere and service at Tepan Fuji for sure. If you're going to pay that much it would be nice to at least have water.
Located inside the Doubletree in Flagstaff, make sure you specify the sushi bar, otherwise you need reservations. Zen was our sushi master, and everything was delicious.
The Sushi was really good and the waitress madi was so nice and accommodating and just wonderful!!! THANK YOU MADI DONT EVER CHANGE THAT WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU UAVE ? only thing is I won't order the coconut pineapple chicken again because it was not good enough to be 28$ dollars but we definitely appreciate the wonderful service and hardworking people here at Sakura.
This Teppanyaki is the best!! We have been there a few times and the food is always so delicious! The chef's are amazing and put on a great show that my kids love! Daniel was our chef last time, and he did a FANTASTIC job!! Thanks so much for a great time!!
Attempted to order to-go one night and staff informed me quietly that they had a gas leak and asked me to leave because they didn't know when they could re-open. They still had guests sitting at tables, waiting for their food and allowed them to stay, and they were not announcing or notifying the guests of the connected hotel which felt very strange.A few days later, I returned for dine in. The service was very slow and the server didn't remember the items we asked for like drink refills, new dishes to replace dirty ones that were brought out, etc. The server was fairly attentive to the table next to us so I assumed they were overwhelmed by the few tables they had. They couldn't answer the questions we had on any of the menu items and was unfamiliar with ingredients. Overall, the food was fresh but a bit overpriced.
I went here for my birthday with some friends and we had a great experience at the sushi bar. The guys making the sushi were very nice and friendly and made the dinner even better.
If you’re in Flag and want some bomb fresh sushi, come to Sakura and see Zenthen. He makes someamazing rolls that are always so beautiful with the presentation. The spicy tuna, spider roll, and seaweed & octopus salad were on point! So amazing! He always has creative & delicious specials, too. Highly recommend.
