Any bar that has a band with trumpet and trombone players gets 5 stars from me.... stop in this joint and get metal detected. it's worth it. Oh... and has as big a selection of drinks as you'd ever need.
They can do better. Our room was just bleh, I love historic buildings but the rooms should be about half the price. Also we were above the bar that is located in the and there was a man and woman couple fighting, pretty severe at times, for about 3 hours at the bar entrance and the street. It seems as though someone at the bar would call the police if this commenced for that long. I was so tired! The prices should be about half price. I recommend avoiding Flagstaff altogether.
Bartender with the muttonchops completely ignored us while chatting up young ladies (I get it). Death metal playing on the jukebox. Very bad experience

I've never stayed at an American hotel that cared so little for their guests. We had a concern about our room, since we thought their advertising about a room with a view was misleading. The front desk staff were utterly stumped, so we asked to speak with the manager. The manager couldn't find us another room. We asked about being comped in some way because the advertising was misleading, and she suggested that she would just cancel our reservation. The room itself was dingy, with a dirty bathroom floor and disintegrating curtains. Housekeeping never came to clean the room. All in all, it wasn't worth the money at all, and it was just not a pleasant stay. The attitude of the staff just made everything worse.

Avoid this hotel at any costs, while it sounds charming at first the attitude of the Front Desk leaves a lot to be desired. Attitude’s first name? Amber. Obviously there’s been an error made by one major internet hotel reservations and we had reserved two nights, only to hear from mrs. Attitude Amber that we only had one night. She even entered our room to remove our belongings and when advised by us to not do so she screamed at us to get out of the hotel!!! The owner called later and apologized for the reservations misunderstanding but not for Amber’s rotten behavior, which didn’t please us. Needless to say we’ll NEVER return to Montevista. It is haunted!! By Amber!!!
Line up of guests at 3pm to check in with ione surly attendant. World's smallest bathroom with no venting. Dirty old beat up furniture. When maintenance came to fix a broken shelf he said "no guarantees, I had a beer after work and everything's gone".it's a pretty place until you get to the room.
Great craft cocktails. Friendly staff. A great downtown vibe. Best Pisco Sours we've had since traveling to Peru.
Fantastic vibe. Love the underground and karaoke. Bartenders are friendly like neighborhoods should be.
