Great dining experience. We had the Surf and Turf which was excellent. Finished the meal with chocolate pecan pie and cheesecake.
Very cozy place with polite servers. Theres a fire pit outside and a fireplace inside. I asked for the filet mignon to be medium rare but it was given to me rare. That's the only thing, but the plating was beautiful. I will come back again.
This is a high end restaurant so it is a little expensive but you get for what you pay for ! Menu is diverse , see the photos and everything we ordered was delicious The lettuce wraps are messy but delicious My crab cakes were plentiful and very tasty They have a lovely outdoor area with a gas fire
The setting is beautiful, we went for our anniversary. Our food was wonderful. I had salmon and my husband had steak with crab cakes and tiger shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly. They have a varied wine list. We tried the selections suggested for our meals and both wines were perfect complements to the meal. For dessert we had the limoncello cheesecake and it was anther home run. Our servers were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and wine list.
My wife and I had dinner here while visiting Flagstaff for the day. For an appetizer, we ordered the Baklava Baked Brie (Phyllo wrapped Brie with Pistachios and Orange Cardamom Black Canyon Honey). Very yummy! My wife selected the Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon and enjoyed every bite! I went for the Achiote Smoked Pork Osso Bucco, which was a nice piece of pork. Quite Flavorful! Service was superb. The meal was a bit pricey for our budget, but splurging once in a while is fun!
If you are looking for 5-star dining in a relaxed atmosphere with first-rate service, and a quality wine list, then Josephine's is for you. Located in a converted old house, this small restaurant serves up unique twists on classic dishes. Great seafood (get the crabcake appetizer), good beef, creative salads, excellent sides. Make a reservation, leave the kids at home, and turn dinner into an event... a little pricey, but worth it...
My wife and I stopped for lunch while traveling. The food was very good. I had a great sandwich and the salad was great as well. The restaurant is in an older home that is very cute.
From the moment we entered, the service was attentive and friendly. The calamari came out in an instant and was lightly breaded and accompanied by a delicious remoulade and a sweet chili sauce! My daughter and her husband ordered what they always do, the osso bucco , they joked that they look at the menu but knew that they’d order what they always do. The presentation on all of the plates was beautiful. My short ribs French onion were a culinary delight, fall off the bone tender, sauced beautifully, with a side of fresh vegetables, and a creamy polenta. My delicious prickly pear margarita with a mescal float lifted my spirits as I polished off the whole meal! I stopped by the kitchen and checked in with the staff and head chef Manny as we left and told them how happy we all were with our meal choices. He was gracious and engaging and recommended a few other of his specialties for us to try on our next visit. What a great restaurant, a true Flagstaff gem! (Their Sunday brunch with the crab cake eggs Benedict was a highlight of our first visit and set the tone for our fabulous evening meal!)
This Flagstaff gem is reminiscent of Berkeley’s Chez Panisse. A welcoming, warm interior is supported by a trendy casual elegance. All of which enhances the superior service, attention to detail and creativity of the culinary offerings. The quality of ingredients is only surpassed by the amazing combinations of both textures and flavors that result in one of the most enjoyable, playful menus we have encountered in the state of Arizona. Hats off to this establishment for providing one of the best dining experiences we have had in some time. And, a special note to those who posted previous critical reviews, we suggest that you check your First World Problems at the door next time you dine here…..you know who are.
We recently celebrated my Cousin's Birthday last week and had a wonderful time! Our server, Daniel, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was extremely helpful, kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for helping us celebrate her birthday!
