50s style diners are one of my favorite things in the world. Galaxy Diner is officially in my top three. How can you beat a diner located on Route 66, has a working neon sign, slings coffee in big mugs, AND makes amazing shakes?Enjoyed two different meals there - dinner and brunch. The service was great; Kennedy and Joriah are fantastic servers. On Saturday night they had live music and a movie. The food was spot on. The decor was perfect.
This 50s-style diner is a must for your Flagstaff adventure or locals alike.Stopped in for dinner and planned on ordering a shake afterward but the dinner was so filling, that didn’t work. The only solution was to come back the next day for breakfast and get a shake to go!Both servers, Kennedy and Joriah, were fabulous and attentive. Very personable.Galaxy Diner will be on my Will Visit Again List.
Stopped in today for a break during a motorcycle ride. Not sure what to have I noticed breakfast served all day. The boss breakfast looked interesting so I ordered it. You can see in the picture, lots to eat. They didn't skimp on the meats as some places do. The potatoes were different yet very tasty. I chose wheat toast and it too was great. Not the usual skinny slice of bread. It was a thick sliced bread. I really enjoyed my meal with excellent service from my server. Sorry can't remember her name, long ride. I will be back when I'm in the area. I highly recommend this place.
First night in Flagstaff my boyfriend and I stopped at the Galaxy Diner for dinner. Our waitress, McKenna, was so sweet and helpful! We ordered the fish and chips and the California dreamin’ burger. The burger was tasty and so was the fish and chips! The coleslaw was delicious! Even my boyfriend who doesn’t like coleslaw, loved it and finished it! We also had dessert. We got the lava fudge cake! We both dug in and smiled! Yummy! Thank you Galaxy Diner!
Atmosphere was 50's decor, service was prompt, restroom (ladies) was clean, ice cream was great. A great place to stop on a hot day.
Really love the atmosphere and nostalgia of Route 66. Unfortunately that’s where the good things end. All of the ice cream machines were out of service so we weren’t able to try out the frozen desserts. I ordered a cheesecake and it had some type of syrup on top that was extremely watery. The cake itself tasted old. The waiter was friendly but if you’re going for food I wouldn’t recommend it based on our experience
Love Love It! First time coming here and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The waitress was attentive and my drink was never empty nor was my brother and mother. So I would definitely recommend this place to visitors. The whole 60s design was pretty awesome too! Love their desert.
I had come here for years but there was a time when this restaurant was closed as its parent company filed for bankruptcy. Luckily, that was all worked out and the doors reopened. This was my first time back and I really had missed the place. It still has the same old school diner vibe and great fountain sodas with syrups. I really enjoyed my vanilla Diet Pepsi, as middle-aged as that sounds. Kids enjoyed their bear head pancakes and eggs, etc. I really enjoyed my green chile smothered omlette with veggies. Wife loved her stuffed french toast. Big servings to the point that you can share (even though you might want to eat it all yourself). It will not take me anywhere near as long to come back knowing this place is open again and back on top of its game.
This place is pretty cool! Pic of famous people all over. Really good food not small servings either. And it's the Galaxy diner.
The 50's vibe, with the black and white photos was very cool. They also had live music ?
