VPN certified for a reason! If you don't know, NOW you know. This is my first time in AZ but I feel confident in saying this might be the BEST pizza in the state. Doug, our waiter, made our evening very enjoyable. Thanks for the great meal and time!

Outstanding wood oven pizza, the perfect size for two to share. Quality fresh ingredients blended into great taste combinations. The staff was friendly and the service was super. We had to wait a little bit to get a table, but it was well worth it. Next time we are in Flagstaff, we will be eating here.

recommended by our tour guide, it was a lively, fun place to visit. We ordered individual pizzas which were delicious. Good service & prices!

This was a great experience. We were seated after a short wait and were attended by Jennifer who was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had pizza, house wine, and the creme brulee cheesecake. The pizza was a combination of arugula and prosciutto and was very well made. The creme brulee cheesecake was extraordinary. All around great experience. Would definitely return.

We were traveling and had no idea that Northern Arizona University had graduation ceremonies the same day. Consequently, Fat Olive’s was seriously busy. However, we were given the option of sitting at the bar. Terrific because Lexi was working the bar. We ordered the smoked olives which were incredible and Lexi answered our question of what type each of the olives were. AND then there was the pizza - Miss Piggy! So, if you are looking for delicious Italian food, do not hesitate, Fat Olive’s is the place!

This restaurant has the VPN which means they have the designation of official Italian pizza. We came on a Saturday night and could not get in. So we went first thing for the lunch seating. It opens at 11 am. We had the $25 feast for two which is drink, Caesar salad and 12” pizza with added pepperoni, sausage, wood fired onions and olives. It was fabulous!!

Eat here if you can!! Make sure someone has a pizza and there is a tiramisu on the table. This is the best place I’ve eaten at in Flagstaff so far. Don’t get me wrong I really really like lots of spots here, but Fat Olives exceeded expectations.Wood fired pizza, excellent pasta and really friendly staff. The vibe is good and there’s plenty of bar area if you want to watch them chucking pizza. The chocolate mousse is rich and I’d recommend having a coffee or other warm drink to help it go down.A+ food

Everything we had was out of this world!! From the olives, bruschetta, and to the pizza, it was all SO FRESH and so yummy!! Our server was incredible & he’s definitely good at his job. He informed us of everything we needed to know about the menu and what Fat Olives is all about. We came in February of this year.

We have been going there since it opened. Never disappointed. The staff clearly knows what they are doing and the food is always excellent.

While traveling, my wife and I stopped for the night in Flagstaff, checked TA for restaurants and selected Fat Olives. We were drawn to the Happy Hour appetizer specials which offered a very reasonably priced way to try several interesting dishes. We barely made it to the restaurant by the cutoff time for HH, ordered some wine and four items of interest. Roasted olives were warm and interesting, but not memorable. Two large meatballs were served with marinara, cilantro and sprinkled Parmesan…very tasty. Oven warmed focaccia came sliced and was served with a bowl of bruschetta style chopped tomatoes and spices. The menu title was Abruzzo. This was my wife’s favorite. We also had Caprese - two tomato slices with sliced mozzarella, basil, oil and balsamic vinegar. It was good but would have benefited from a little more of the dressing. We were delighted to have tried the “variety pack” as opposed to a heavier meal, but we did enjoy watching those around us enjoy their dining selections. The open hearth pizzas seemed to be a favorite and they looked absolutely delicious…slightly charred crust and all. We also observed a table ordering desserts… Well, we ate reasonably lightly, so rewarded ourselves by ordering the chocolate mousse. From my seat I could watch one of the floor personnel preparing several of these at a stand near the pizza hearth area. The mousse appeared to be pre-prepared in sort of a serving glass. To this she added fresh whipped cream, drizzled chocolate on top and finished it off by shanking what I assumed were finely ground bits of chocolate on top. Did I mention how excited we were to have saved room for dessert? It even came with two spoons, Thanks, Trip Advisor, this was an outstanding find. Sure wish it was located in my home town!
