I feel like this place has been here forever. Authentic Mexican food. Amazing been different salsa. Really good chicken enchiladas. Deep fried tacos. This place is a go to if you need to have a banquet table setting. The service is amazing. Located right in the heart of downtown Chandler next to City Hall. Arizona Avenue
I understand everywhere has a staffing issue, whether not willing to pay help or folks not wanting to work, but 2 hours for a table of 7 for lunch is a bit excessive. Our waitress was very friendly & pleasant, but very slow. Also if you really really like cilantro, which we DO NOT, you'll love the food here, it's made into & sprinkled onto every dish we ordered, even the dish that specifically ordered without any of it added. The best part of the entire meal was the bean dip & chips prior to the meal. The salsa was giant chunks of onion, cilantro & tomato juice, absolutely horrible.Sorry Serranos, we'll not be returning & will be unable to recommend to others!
I’ve been coming here for a few years now and tonight I had the best server I’ve ever had. His name is Raul and he was amazing. Drinks were always filled before empty, he would come by and make sure things were going well and not pushy like some servers. Of course the food is always good or I wouldn’t be going back. Everyone is always polite and professional. Thanks and we will be asking for Raul as our server in the future always. Fyi he deserves a raise as you don’t want to lose him.
First visit in two years. Although Serrano's is always a favorite, we hadn't been eating out as often while covid was more prevalent. The menu had changed and prices were higher. We didn't see anyone familiar on staff. Service was excellent. The food was still very good, but nothing was quite the same as we remembered. We will be back again though.
It's okay to eat there but what I order burrito pork and thought was normal to eat just like other Mexican restaurant that always ask the customers if want shredded or not. I don't like shredded pork make my stomach upset because there's too much salt. I give two thumb down. Cut a little with salt.
The wait person was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. Definitely going back!
My wife and I, drive 45 minutes one way just to eat there! This place has amazing food and even greater customer service! Always have extra chips, salsa, and drinks at the ready. I love their enchiladas, my opinion the best around! Worth the drive for anyone to enjoy a nice meal in a great, welcoming atmosphere. 5 out of 5 stars, would give a 10!!!
Service was great. Supervisor came over to our table and asked if we were doing okay.Meals were served hot.Margaritas were delish!Salsa was perfectly spiced.
This is a family own restaurant with other locations. Have eaten here numerous times and would highly recommend it.
Came here based on TA advice and was glad we did We came early on a Friday night (about 5:30) because they do not accept reservations. (Wish they did). Noticed many people coming in for "take out" Many families come here. They bring you bean dip and chips to start. The dip is terrific - a hint of spicy. We ordered a chicken burrito, which was ok but not great. Beef & pork tamale was exceptional (strongly recommended). Rice and beans were good. Menu is somewhat smaller than some restaurants, but there are plenty of options. Service fast and friendly. Free Parking lot next to restaurant. We are from out of town and plan to return on our next trip to Phoenix.
