Never ate here, the Owner/Shelly pullked up behind me on the Salmon river end of March. She was curious about the way I had me pole set up for steelhead. I give her some tackle. She wanted to know where i was fishing the next day so she could find me. I told her Ellis. But on my way down to Ellis, i seen the water had more color than the day before, So I went upstream, then left later that day. Sorry i forgot that you had some more questions. Nice neighborhood bar. Bad experience with another guest who thinks he can walk up and take anyone's seat at the bar, but not Sawtooths fault.

I’ll start off by saying I’ve never gone to Sawtooth for the hospitality or customer service. They are not very welcoming, nor do they go above and beyond to serve you. After speaking to the owner a few times, it makes perfect sense. She’s quite angry and unpleasant, and that is the environment she promotes. Every time we’ve gone in, my wife and I say we’re never going back, however, there is one item on the menu that we crave from time to time. Sunday we had that craving, unfortunately the kitchens execution was lacking. Most of our food came out burned and over fried. After mentioning that the food looked burned the server told us that’s just the look the batter takes on after being fried, since there is sugar in the breading. Seems reasonable and makes sense, but they were in fact burnt. Like I said we have ordered these many times and these were pretty much inedible. My sisters boneless wings were also burnt and they do not have that breading on them. After mentioning it to the server again, she went and talked to the owner. She came back to tell us that Shelly would not do anything for us, because that’s just how they are. Again…I’ve had these many times, and it’s not how they are. If Shelly would have made any effort to come over to the table and acknowledge us, she may have thought differently. Instead she sent her poor server back to deliver the news. I didn’t want anything for free, but maybe some more food that was properly cooked. No initiative to remedy the situation was taken, and we left hungry.My expectations were not set very high, but damn, Shelly really drops the ball in every aspect of restaurant service.

Went there for the first time last night. Food was the right portion, staff was very attentive and my kind of music. Will definitely be back!
I had been here, one time previously and it wasn’t an issue. I came in on January 6th and was greeted by the bartender fairly quickly. We ordered a tea and club soda and he came back with the drinks and one menu. (odd) Within four minutes, the owner (I think) came to our table, ready to take our order. Since we only had one menu we weren’t ready. After that—vapor. We sat for ten minutes without anyone coming to our table. The bartender kept busy, the owner went out for a smoke and his wife (I think) just chatted with table by us, totally ignoring we were there. After that we gave up and left. I tossed $5.00 on the table and we exited the establishment. I didn’t want to do that but I did buy a tea. I doubt I’ll go back but hopefully they’ll learn from their mistake and you’ll have a better evening than we did. Totally disappointed
