Remember that “hole in the wall” place you loved back home? This is your new “hole in the wall” for Indian cuisine. We had not heard of about 40% of the menu items, and Raj took delight in helping us navigate the menu. We chose several items to sample, and they were all above par. The flavors are just amazing! Raj educated us on which sauces and how to properly use them. He gave us a free sample of a dessert made from beets. Even as the place started to get busy, he remained attentive and engaged. We can’t wait to go back to try our next dish. We’re not even vegetarians and we didn’t miss the meat, everything was that tasty.
OK. So if you are into amazing food and excellent service, you should go to Ruchi. Everything I have eaten there has been top notch and everyone has been very friendly. The owner has been doing it for a long time and knows how to please. If you don't know what to get, go for the dhal curry and the tofu curry. You will not be disappointed.
The food was fresh and flavorful. I'm not a vegetarian but I would gladly eat at Ruchi again. The price is low considering the amount of food you get. My daughter and I visited Sunday for lunch. The restaurant was busy with a steady flow of customers. There was only one server and one bus boy, so service was a little slow but very friendly and efficient.
As a South Indian from Chicago who is traveling, this food is a taste from home… ordered Gobi manchuri, masala dosa, and mango lassis. Was very good! Always ask for recommendations if you’re not sure! Owner was really helpful and accommodating for vegan dishes. Best service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant, very hospitable. Thank you so much Raj!! Can’t wait to come try your foods again!
WOW! I had the rasa vada and I melted into my seat with how delicious this was. The coconut chutney was amazing, and the tomato chutney just blew my mind. When the aloo paratha arrived, I was not disappointed because it paralleled how tasty everything else was. This is the best Indian food I've had. That isn't an exaggeration. I've eaten at over fifteen different Indian restaurants across 7 different states. THIS WAS THE BEST.
Love the tasty food & best service ?
We had never been to a Indian restaurant before.... Raj recommended three different dishes and they were all delicious!!!!!! And we are vegans and there tons of vegan options. We will be back again and again!!! Oh yeah, you are greeted with a warm and friendly reception as soon as you enter.
We found this place in Chaner and were super excited to try it! We were going to go into the restaurant but decided to do pick up instead. Judging by the lack of cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant inside, thar should have been my first clue not to get food from there! They need to get some better to go containers because they were foil bowls/pans that were wrapped in saran wrap, and they were leaking everywhere! Then they had stacked two on top of each other and the top one crushed the bottom lid, leaving chunks of sharp plastic in the food that we had to try and pull out! Let's just say we missed a piece in the food as we were eating! My husband and I are pretty adventurous eaters, and one of our favorites is Indian Food! We ordered some rice dish with these super dry, unflavored and overbaked biscuit things and it had some kind of sauce on the side. We wanted to try something new, but unfortunately it was terrible! We also had the chili paneer which was actually pretty good....minus the chunks of plastic inside! The waitress/hostess was sweet, but needless to say, it was the absolute worst Indian food I've ever had....we actually threw half of the food away ?
Everything is always so fresh and delicious ?Just like they invited you over to their house for dinner!I haven't had such great Indian food in a long time and that was in Singapore area called Little India
